I like Rand. I hate the TSA. It’s hard not to make a thoughtful comment without knowing more.

If only Rand could hijack the entire TSA and put them on the southern border....

I never, ever, allow them to use the full body scanner. I’ve been patted down dozens of times and even failed one and they had to do the “private room” thing. Apparently my trip to the feed store to pay my monthly storage bill had set it off.

I did apologize to the guy doing the patting for the wood.

I travel a bit, went through a full body scanner and the glitch hit me. The panel the guard can see, will show where the ‘glitch’ is. There is a stick figure broken into zones. The zones are head, torso, right shoulder/arm, left shoulder/arm, waist to thigh, left thigh, right thigh, left knee to foot, and right knee to foot.
These zones are mirrored again on the back of the stick figure.

Apparently my ‘glitch’ was on my front right thigh - the agent was professional, touched me with his fingers spread, and made a single sweep from my front pocket down to my knee - took all of 3 seconds and I was out of there. If you want to make a scene; I guess you can make a scene - and be detained by the TSA.

Now TSA is patting down senators as security risk? Rand has been very critical of their procedures, sounds like payback.

Maybe if the TSA plays grab azz with enough congressmen and senators they will wise up and get rid of TSA. I hope Rand Paul makes a major stink out of it.

Former Senator Larry Craig now spends all of his time in airports at the TSA checkpoint instead of the airport restrooms.

When Larry goes through the checkpoint, he says “Give me the works, in fact make it a double.”

as dutiful little drones are they trying to prove their egalitarianism or do they have reason to suspect a senator from Kentucky has hijacking designs?

Ron Paul’s facebook page (never thought I’d go there) stated Rand refused a full body pat-down. I think there’s going to be a big stink and it’s going to stick to Zero.

They justify TSA searches based on the underwear bomber, the state department put him on the plane after local security denied to let him on without a passport.

Government using "underwear bomber" to take away our freedom.

Good for Rand.

He is consistent in opposing big federal government tyranny, whether it be the unPatriot Act or other Big Brother legislation.

If this report about the TSA holding him is correct, I hope it turns into a major incident that will change how Janet Incompetano’s jackbooted thugs treat American citizens.

If the rest of the civilized world outside of their own TSA environment had knowledge of exactly who these people are, etc. they might think twice about ignoring our rights.....

Wonder if this was the same TSA “official” that I ran into at Nashville last fall? I was there to see my son-in-law off for the remainder of his deployment in Afghanistan and refused to enter the full body scanner. She repeatedly asked me if I was “opting out.” When I told her I was she used her radio to call for someone to pat me down. I waited for about 5 minutes for a very overweight guy to show up and then pat me down. To his credit he was professional and used the backs of his hands.
