...Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli confirmed that Thomas had told him months ago he would not attend the White House event due to his political and ideological differences with the Obama administration. Chiarelli said he had tried to convince Thomas to attend the event "over the last couple months" to no avail. "He chose not to come. The reasons behind it I think he'll make the media aware through his Facebook," said Chiarelli.

Thomas likes Glenn Beck... per the article... He might of had a hard time getting into the White House... Napolitano might have PERSONALLY stopped him at the gate....

I knew it without knowing it. TT is a man of great character.

I found myself saying to a lib relative at a holiday gathering recently: “He should run for office. He’s got great character.” He had no comeback for that. Nor would any Michigan Democrat.

Yeah, old school here.

FINALLY, someone with backbone, gonads and principals! Why isn't this guy in congress? instead of doing something useful?

A standing ovation for this gentleman!

He won’t be getting a parade in Boston. He’ll be lucky if he’s nt booed out of town.

As a conservative, I am very proud of him for taking this stand.

That said, if some liberal athlete didn’t want to attend a similar event hosted by a Republican President who he did not approve of, I’d respect that as well.

Nobody should be coerced into associating with (and possibly lending credibility to) someone who stands for everything they they oppose.

Boston is a lib mecca. Not sure if it was a savvy PR move for Tim. He is going to be trashed by the blowhard Boston sports media. They did similar to Schilling after he said, “Vote Bush” during interview following World Series. The libtards in Boston never forgave him.

“Boston is a lib mecca.”

The busing issue years ago showed that like many Yankees, they’re liberal as long as they don’t have to deal with black people. Then, they’d make the Klan blush.

Neil Young should have sung about “Northern Man”; even Frederick Douglas was disgusted by the hypocrisy.
