January 23, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A new analysis from the National Right to Life Committee’s (NCLC) education department estimates that since the infamous Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision in 1973, over 54.5 million American babies have died through abortion.
Dave Andrusko, the editor of National Right to Life News, said that the number is “so huge that we can’t really come to grips with it.”
“But what it means is that there are over 3,300 abortions every day—137 per hour–or about one dead baby every thirty seconds.”
This week pro-life advocates are mourning the 39th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, with tens of thousands having marched past the national Capitol today in the national March for Life. NRLC’s estimate was released to coincide with the grim anniversary.
The pro-life organization based its estimate upon data both from the U.S. Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Alan Guttmacher Institute (AGI), a research institute founded by Planned Parenthood.
The NRLC analysis says that abortion rates peaked in 1990, during which year there were 1.6 million abortions. That number has dropped 25% to about 1.2 million abortions annually.
The pro-life organization observes that while the CDC bases its abortion numbers upon figures sent from the country’s 52 central health agencies, AGI obtains its data from direct surveys of abortionist. AGI’s data consistently shows higher abortion numbers than the CDC.
The abortion numbers are cast into further uncertainty due to the fact that the CDC has not included abortion numbers from two states since 1998; the numbers from various other states have also not been included in annual data from time to time.
But we will be dealing with the consequences of it for generations.

Those concieved in 1972 would have entered the workforce around 1990.
There would be no “Social Security Crisis” if there had not been an Aborted generation.
Nor would there have been a need to cut back on US troop commitments around the globe.
Nor would colleges and universities have had to press for mandatory “lifelong learning” aka Continuing Education requirements for state-licensed professions.

The magic of compound interest:
It was not merely the loss of this wave of the young, but the children of those young who shall now never be born. Since the introduction of Roe v. Wade, the first wave would have, conservatively, produced at least an equal number of offspring of their own. Would that have particularly affected the national population today? Not if you factor in all the immigrants, both legal (actually a relatively small number) and the illegal squatters who have simply come in and occupied the real estate without regard to the legal niceties, such as getting permission, and proceeding in an orderly manner to each of the steps.
Part of the Fall of Rome can be attributed to the failure of the Romans themselves to preserve the culture, and because of their declining numbers, brought in the subjects of distant territories to run the day to day operations of the Empire. The unsophisticated newcomers had little or no reason to resist when the barbarians surged in.
Exactly the situation in which modern-day Great Britain is finding itself. And the United States is not far behind.
Breathtaking
1) Murders its babies in the womb, some having their skulls crushed just seconds before their first breath. Some who manage to survive are tortured as they shiver and gasp for air while lying in the bottom of a utility room sink.
2) Sends it precious children into godless socialist-entitlement schools. These children must learn to think and reason godlessly just to cooperate in the classroom, read the textbooks, and complete home assignments. How could it be otherwise?
Keep in mind that more Americans die in abortuaries EACH YEAR than have died in all of the wars America combined.
More Americans die in abortuaries EVERY DAY than died in the terrorist attacks of 9/11/01.
Exactly, our nation's financial problem are ENTIRELY DUE to the population timebomb that was triggered when the American Holocaust began.
Our economy necessitates a growing population.
So much for “Never Again”.
When we all stand in God’s judgement, those dead babies will be confronting those responsible for their deaths and I don’t think they will be asking for God to have mercy on them.
