Carney: Obama sees ‘regrettable level of hyperpartisanship’ in Washington
By Amie Parnes - 01/23/12 01:03 PM ET

Even though he promised to bridge partisanship before coming into office, President Obama “accepts that there is still a regrettable level of hyperpartisanship,” White House spokesman Jay Carney said on Monday.

Carney said there were “instances” in which the tone on Pennsylvania Avenue “got in the way of moving forward.”

“But that's not an excuse to stop trying,” Carney said.

The spokesman said Obama believes there's still an opportunity to work with Congress to accomplish “big things.”

Carney used an example of the GOP's persistent call last year to release Obama's birth certificate as a “gratuitously stupid side show.”

“Our challenges are too big to be dragged down by these kinds of things,” he said.

He rejects the idea that nothing can get done in an election year," Carney said, adding that the president will "very much call for action" in tomorrow's State of the Union address.

And the secret Commiecare™ meetings were NEVER 'hyperpartisan'. (Is the dimwit Carney exempt, too? Just wondering.)

The Kenyan lizard and his mau mau occupier scum minions have ratcheted up class warfare rhetoric to a peak, and the lizard deplores the level of partisanship in DC. Classic.

Our founding fathers set up a system to STOP folks from moving forward quickly. God bless 'em. Dictatorships move fast. Thugs keep things moving at whatever speed they can bully others into following. We move slowly as protection against the above types...

The first person who filed a lawsuit asking for proof was a democrat. A republican never has filed a lawsuit asking for proof of eligibility.

I honestly believe that in his mind Obama thinks he is truly bi-partisan.

The key to a successful imposition of dictatorship by popular choice is defining all organized opposition as radical and dangerous.

I’ll be turning 60 this year and have been following and participating in politics since the mafia stole the 1960 election for JFK - I wore a Goldwater button at the age of twelve and have never seen things degenerated to this level.
This childish, hateful usurper in the White House must go - he and his cabal of criminals.

I wonder how many times Obama poked a hornet’s nest when he was young and then cried about getting stung!
