Prisoners here detest a nonce.
I thought these people got put in protective custody and that the idea that they would get it in prison was a myth, but then I read about Ian Huntley getting his throat cut by a fellow prisoner, and it hadn’t been the first time he’d been attacked either.
Maxine Carr, Huntley’s accomplice, was attacked with boiling sugar water when she was inside as well.
They are, but they cant be locked up 24hrs a day away from other prisoners, paths will cross despite the best security.
Most paedophiles and serial killers here have been attacked at some time in prison. I seem to remember someone tried or succeeded in gouging an eye of the Yorkshire Ripper, Peter Sutcliffe.
