No. It wasn't partisan, it was just portrayed by the meida that way. The GOP elites allied themselves with their like-minded statist dems to take Newt down.

And they're trying to do it again. Will we let them succeed? All that is at stake is our nation...

Correct.
The coup started in Congressman Lindsay Graham's office. That should tell you a lot right there.

Graham spoke about it recently, and he said he was surrpised that Newt isn't holding a grudge. I've since watched Graham and he's been very careful to speak pretty good about Newt.

When Santorum spoke about it the other night in a debate, he was lying, because he was already in the Senate in '95. He's exaggerating his congressional (House) importance, but what's new?
