Gov. Scott Walker holds single-digit leads over several potential Democratic opponents in hypothetical recall matchups, according to a new statewide poll.
The poll was conducted Jan. 19-22 for the Marquette Law School by Charles Franklin, co-founder of pollster.com and a visiting professor at Marquette, on leave from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The law school plans to poll throughout the year.
In the survey of 701 registered voters, Walker leads his 2010 opponent, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, 50% to 44%. He leads former Dane County executive Kathleen Falk 49% to 42%. He also leads two other Democrats, former congressman Dave Obey and state lawmaker Tim Cullen.

what a waste of money
Very, very cool! And Walker is raising a truckload of cash.
But it really does make you wonder how, ostensibly, a million people signed to recall him.
What do they care? It’s not their money.
These Union morons didn’t think to far ahead. They went all out to get a recall vote on Walker and none of them bothered to think if they had a candidate to challenge him. They wasted all this time and money and don’t have a challenger. These people are idiots. This will fail just like all the other Union exploits in that state.
When I was home for Christmas, my school bus driver sister (2 sisters and a brother drive school bus, another brother is a teacher) were signing the petition. For some reason they didn’t ask me. ;>)
Anyhow, when I got back home, I donated $50 to Walker, and am now part of the out-of-state contributions you’re sure to hear about.

Not if your real goal was to collect as many names and addresses of the far-left in Wisconsin - validated at taxpayer's expense - to use for fund-raising, door knocking, lit drops and GOTV for this and all future (i.e. Obama) elections.
Here’s a new term for the union goons and other assorted libtards: opportunity cost. As in, money you spend on an unsuccessful (OR successful) attempt to recall Gov. Walker is money you will not have to spend on future elections.
While none of the projected leads in the article are particularly large, they are outside the margin of error. The recall looks like it’ll be money down the toilet for the left.
Don't try to teach barn yard animals any concept of free market capitalism because they know you are just a liar and you are trying to trick them.
This WI recall may provide the best object lesson since the 2010 mid terms for pubbies, whose balls were beginning to shrivel.
When the union loses this vote they will just blame it on the candidate or the weather or they didn't spend enough or...and the beat goes on.
They didn't. They claim to have turned in a million signatures, but I seriously doubt a million Wisconsinites of legal voting age signed their stinking petitions.
Mickey Mouse and Adolph Hitler will not likely be giving to reelect Obama. They have reserved their anger and energy for Scott Walker alone.

Pass the popcorn!
Sounds like great news. How much did he win by the first time?
52 percent to 47 percent vs Tom Barrett.
Not sure how much help the sig list will be. There will likely be 30% or more in repetitive or fraudulent signatures :)
LOL! I have a younger brother who is passionately “Recall Walker” and has canvassed the petitions. So... I donated $100 to Governor Walker about a week ago.
Amazingly reminiscent of the civil war....where families were divided and torn apart due to their political stances. Scary repeat of history?

Only on the surface in this case. My brother and I share a hunting cabin in northern Wisconsin and we can discuss politics for hours - and never a cross word. This, despite the fact we are on different points of the political spectrum.
