Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s office on Wednesday said the minority leader doesn’t have any dirt on Newt Gingrich.
Pelosi has suggested in two interviews that she knows something that could prevent Gingrich from becoming president, but her office said the California Democrat doesn’t have any secrets about Gingrich, who has shot to the top of national Republican polls after winning the South Carolina primary.
"The 'something' Leader Pelosi knows is that Newt Gingrich will not be President of the United States. She made that clear last night," Pelosi spokesman Drew Hammill said in a statement.
"Leader Pelosi previously made a reference to the extensive amount of information that is in the public record, including the comprehensive committee report with which the public may not be fully aware,” Hammill said.
Pelosi made headlines on Tuesday when she told CNN Gingrich would not be president, and that “there’s something I know.”
In an interview in December, Pelosi also drew attention by suggesting there was information that could come out of her office that could damage Gingrich. Pelosi suggested it was related to the House ethics investigation of Gingrich; Pelosi served on the panel looking into Gingrich.
“One of these days we’ll have a conversation about Newt Gingrich," Pelosi said at the time. “When the time is right. … I know a lot about him. I served on the investigative committee that investigated him, four of us locked in a room in an undisclosed location for a year. A thousand pages of his stuff.”

Someone should let Shephard Smith and Juan Williams know this as they’re drooling over Newt’s former problems based on what they think Nancy knows.

I thought the something she knows is that the fix is in - Obama has it tied up for the win regardless of who we pick.
Everybody knows she's going nuts, or senile, or both. Now she's out there suggesting she knows something is going to happen to Newt (one way to interpret it), so that's of interest.
Are the other Democrats going to shoot him perhaps?
It's good to use suspicions against the Democrats. Newt can take care of himself.
Please don’t let this snake manipulate you with an obvious dirty trick. You can see how obviously chose her words carefully in the initial attack so they remained legally ambiguous as to what she was referring to. Then both times she had her staff member “walk it back” the next day to protect her legally, knowing that that would never make the front pages like the original accusation did. These are carefully scripted political lies and smears, the same stuff they’ve been aiming at conservatives like Newt ever since the frivolous ethics charges. Unless conservatives firmly unite and reject these kinds of tactics, they will be used to take us down again and again and again. Look how well they work, in that they are still using absolutely false charges that the media turns into misleading stories to destroy conservatives 15 years later.
Why do you think she has pulled this AGAIN and folded AGAIN with the SAME excuse.

No problem. All Gingrich has to do is expose the botox queen’s election fraud in certifying obama’s candidacy without certifying his constitutional eligibility! (Look this up if you don’t know what this is about.) Kill 2 birds with 1 stone! With obozo and the botox queen thrown in jail, anybody can be the real 44th president and Gingrich will go down in history as the man who single-handedly saves USA from the most evil beings!
