The Romney camp (Susan Molinari, advisor) is even resurrecting the conspiracy theory that surrounded the suicide of Brit Hume’s son, but attaching Newt’s name to it, instead of Dick Armey. They are SCUM!

I am quite certain that Schmidt moved to McCain's campaign after Mitt dropped out. So did Nicole Wallace (Couric interview setup). Schmidt went very hard against Sarah -- started the rumor of Sarah appearing in a bathrobe.

Mitt's operatives went all out to take down Sarah in 08. Mitt did not want a Conservative superstar to come to the front.

Mitt and his minions are as devious and as underhanded as any on the left.

I listened to the first 2 hours of Rush today, when you hear it in context on the radio is was a velvet glove attack on Newt.

I listened to all three hours. And, for the life of me, I can't figure out why anybody would conclude that either of the last two days have been an "attack on Newt".

It was instead a report of exactly what was being said about Newt, some informed speculation as to why it was being said and some well-founded caution about how much credibility to give it.

No, Limbaugh didn't endorse Newt. Instead, he gave him a fair shake...and directed his own animus toward the GOP Establishment and their tactics.

But a failure to endorse can hardly be construed as an attack...

Right on, Thane! And staten, here's another BIG material difference: Obama isn't a Republican. Conservative Republicans can effectively fight Obama's statism and become stronger and more determined. Romney is a REPUBLICAN -- conservatives in the party who would fight his statism would have their hands tied behind their backs and would be condemned for going against their own party's presidential administration.

Romney would do damage to the Republican party that Obama couldn't do in his wildest dreams.

I listen to talk radio all day every day, NYC has a good line-up of conservative talkers. It seems to me most of the talkers are trying to be neutral with the exception of Mark. Today Rush seemed to be doing the same, laying out what he knows without picking a side. It’s to early to bury either Newt/Mitt in my mind. Newt is my selfish pick for the potential of nailing OB in a debate. But I want to win in Nov, if that means Mitt,I’ll take it.
