Also read the transcript on another thread - I agree with you and don’t understand how some FReepers interpreted Rush’s remarks as pro-Newt. Rush is dead to me.
He has certainly fallen off the “voice of conservatism” mountaintop.

1:45 minutes of 2 hours was playing audio attack on Newt...and then comments like...”well, it’s true...Abrams was devastating” etc.
Reading the transcript doesn’t give you the full effect of Limbaugh velvety glove attack.
Anybody who didn’t hear it, should listen to it on podcast to see how it was an attack on Gingrich.

Same here. If after I hear the audio, it is no better, he's dead to me too.
