Notice how JEOPARDY! notes in the clue that she got a Doctorate in Politics from Oxford. As if that is the most important identifying characteristic of Rachel Maddow.

They could have said she worked for MSNBC. Or maybe on a low-rated cable network that nobody ever sees. Or perhaps that she is a firebrand of leftist politics.

Or maybe they could have mentioned that she is famous for her “lifestyle”, and an icon of homosexual Americans.

But, of course, the purpose of the clue was not to identify Rachel Maddow. The purpose of the clue was to point out that she got a DOCTORATE IN POLITICS FROM OXFORD. Which is to say she is much better educated and intelligent than you or I.

Funny, the Leftists are always accusing Conservatives of being elitists, but they go almost the point of tattooing their university degrees on their foreheads, to make sure people never forget who the real elites are.
