So they are holding a news conference about the Cincinnati Casino Construction collapse when a Ride Go Bus drives into the news conference and side swipes a news van.
The driver, female minority, parks the bus, gets out and begins yelling at the folks holding a news conference. She basically says it's there fault she hit a PARKED vehicle and that she is just trying to do her job.
You can't make this stuff up!

Everyone knows it is impossible for a protected black female minority to do any wrong.
With the exception of freeways, turnpikes, etc., when you hit a stopped vehicle, it is ALWAYS your fault.
The only exception (other than the one at the beginning of this post), is that you can prove that the other vehicle pulled out in front of you and stopped, not giving you enough time to respond.
The video makes it pretty clear that is not what happened here. ;-)
In a normal world, this bus driver would be removed from her job, not least for her attitude and willingness to intentionally hit a stopped car.
Other buses made the turn during the news conference but she didn’t and she left the scene of the accident.

No was injured as a result of the accident, but the 9 News van was pushed back around a foot as a result of the collision.
Minor damage was sustained to the front left bumper of the van and the right side panel of the bus.
Other busses had made the turn during the time surrounding the conference, but it appeared this bus had cut the turn short, causing the collision.
The driver of the bus honked several times while 9 News was broadcasting the conference on live TV.
The crash remains under investigation, but the driver of the bus backed up after the incident and continued away from the conference.
If she crashed in to a parked vehicle then the crash is her fault, whether the news van was illegally parked or not.

This will go against her record and it’s been recorded by live TV. She’s trying to set up her defense to whatever safety board that she may have to appear before.

The woman might have a case that the media was blocking the right of way.
I worked at a private liberal University and I can tell you that is absolutely correct! My supervisor hated to even entertain the thought of hiring a minority woman because she knew once they were hired, they couldn’t be fired. And these women knew it. Our working hours were 8:30 to 5, but it was not uncommon for them to come parading in on a daily basis at 9 or 9:30 and leave at 4, and no one would say a word. The professors were afraid of them, and would come ask one of us to type letters for them because their black secretaries wouldn’t do them. One black woman dean actually quit and then sued the university for discrimination.

Media people tend to think that their jobs are much more important than the convenience of "the little people."
I wouldn't doubt that the media van was parked illegally.
So what we have here is basically an incident between members of two priveledges groups.
So, like peons everywhere, I will say "let the bosses work it out amongst themselves."
I still think the driver will not be touched in any way. It doesn't matter that this was caught in camera. It doesn't matter what traffic regulations say about who's at fault when a moving vehicle plows into a parked vehicle. She's safe on the black square. Her job is safe too.
My guess is that this goes into the memory hole.
I have friends who did consulting for Hamilton county in Ohio. They noted minorities who were in out of the way cubicals that surfed the internet all day and basically did nothing. My friends were told that county officials didn’t care as long as these minority employees didn’t cause any trouble or violence.
They were too afraid to ask them to do anything so they didn’t but it helped the county comply with affirmative action quotas.
Check the part of the video where you can see the front right wheel of the bus... it's on the sidewalk!. Ergo, while the news van was undoubtedly parked in the street, the news conference most certainly wasn't set up there. My guess is that she figured out (way too late) that she needed to adjust the turn to get around the van, and ended up angling onto the sidewalk. But sheesh - that's basic driving: seeing what's in front of you.
Based on the video, the driver was correct. It looks like the live truck was parked in the area where the buses turn in to the terminal parking area and she hit it because she was unable to swing wide enough.
They moved because they were likely where they should not have been.
