Hillsdale College will host an online town hall entitled, “Our Choice Today: Bureaucratic Despotism or the Constitution,” on Saturday, January 28, 2012, beginning at 11 a.m. EST. It will be broadcast from the College’s Kirby Center for Constitutional Studies and Citizenship in Washington, D.C., and can be viewed for free at constitutiontownhall.com.
The purpose of the town hall, according to Hillsdale College President Larry P. Arnn, is “to make clear to Americans that they still have a choice how they will be governed—that the powerful federal bureaucracy which stifles freedom is of relatively recent construction, and remains for now capable of being dismantled.”
U.S. Senator Mike Lee of Utah will introduce the program by discussing the practical effects of bureaucracy on freedom. According to Senator Lee, “The federal government has become too big, too burdensome, and too involved in the daily lives of Americans. To preserve liberty, we must reduce the size and scope of the bureaucracy and return power to where it rightfully belongs among the states and the people.”

I wish Hillsdale and some students from Hillsdale would put up a conservative news website to replace Drudge’s! He has lost big-time credibility. Can’t stomach to go to his site anymore!
I wish it were being held in Hillsdale.
