A newly surfaced video shows Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich is a true Reagan conservative. The video, called The Ronald Reagan Legacy, recently made its exclusive debut on Newsmax and is already making an impact in political circles.
Is Newt Gingrich a True Reagan Conservative? Watch The Ronald Reagan Legacy and Decide for Yourself!
The video couldnt have come at a more perfect time for Gingrich, whose critics have been questioning the relationship he actually shared with Reagan. Mitt Romney is now taking a lot of heat for leading what many are calling a smear campaign against the former House speaker.

Look at Romney’s eyes. Look at his mouth.
You can tell a lot about a person by their eyes and their mouth.
Then look at Ron Emanual and little Timmy.
See the simularities?
To: RedMDer
It would be wonderful to have someone who was close to Reagan back in the White House. It sure would bring back stature for the presidency.
To: RedMDer
The crop of Rep Prez candidates has only two who can succeed in being elected - Newt and Romney. So the question is actually who is more conservative btwn those two.
The obvious answer is Newt.

It is the look of a sociopath. Not all sociopaths are physically violent. Those who combine intelligence, physical cowardice and diligence do very well as social crawlers.
Romney is every bit the headcase that Obama is. I hope significant power is never entrusted to him.

Newt is not Reagan or a True Conservative. All of the candidates on both sides are corrupt and there will no real change regardless of what happens next November.
There have been no real credible plans put forth to deal with the debt or deficit.
No political will or leadership to honestly tell the American people the truth and what really needs to be done, i.e. immediate across the board spending cuts of 50% for starters.

I guess Gingrich's record in the 80s and 90s comes close to that of a Reagan conservative. The argument against him, though, wasn't that he represented one ideology as opposed to another, but that he was too erratic and unreliable, that over time he's too easily distracted and ineffective.
It's a bum rap to paint Newt Gingrich as anti-Reagan. There's some bad faith and deception, perhaps deliberate, involved there. At the same time, Newt was always hard to pigeon-hole into the kind of categories that other politicians accept. Something about him was always expanding in ways that broke the old ideological molds, and that makes some people distrust him.
FWIW Maybe it's a minor point or something personal, but the "Rockefeller Republican" thing still amazes me. If you ever were a Rockefeller Republican yourself, as Newt was himself, you can't attack others and apply that label to them without some self-awareness or irony. If that irony or awareness isn't there it's not a good sign.

Great video excerpts. I even ordered the full video ($4.95 for a subscription). I really appreciate what Newsmax did for us by buying a top of the page banner ad on Drudge on bloody Tuesday to tell the truth about the coordinated attack on Newt. Must’ve cost them a small fortune.

No, but neither was Reagan. But he has the ability to change the direction of this country more profoundly than Reagan could ever dream, because the sleeping tiger is awake.

Your right and it's at best wishful thinking.
We are on a massive collision course on the Debt and Deficit.
It's either Default or some kind of collapse and none of the parties will address this.
When Greece goes under the chain reaction will start and where it ends is anybody’s guess.

Newt was not a Rockefeller Republican. He was an army brat.
A politician might move among the old guard, but they are never accepted as part of that group.
Reagan wasn't - he was an embarrassment to them as was Newt.

I'll admit that Newt Gingrich is less a Reagan Conservative than Mitt Romney is a Rockefeller liberal. Does that help?
If the Gipper were alive today, there is no doubt that he'd be as opposed to Romney as the Romney family was to to him during his political career.
