I attended today! It was a very good, albeit brief, event. Newt was 30 minutes late so we listened briefly to Matt Staver who sponsored the event and a few other panelists.
Newt’s first question was about his glowing words for FDR, TR and Woodrow Wilson. He said he didn’t really remember speaking glowingly about WW but considers him smart. He then went on to tell why he did with FDR (WWII was a very well run war) and TR as he considers safe water and food a necessity and TR created the FDA (after reading The Jungle about a guy that falls in a vat and becomes sausage!)
He spoke very well about stem cells, the Mexico City policy (foreign abortion aid), getting rid of all the czars. He said he is going to mandate congress stay in session and get bills passed on repealing obummercare, sarbanes and dodd frank so he can sign them the day he’s sworn in.
There were a few other subjects; all in all very good. A lot of Santorum people showed, even though Santorum didn’t and was supposed to, and he asked them to vote for him if they want a conservative to win Fl.
Yes, it was a wonderful Q & A session.
He was able to knock down some of the media lies.

And how do you think that (his appeal to Santorum voters) was received? The live stream was excellent. I hope that it was being taped, did you see cameras rolling? He needs to get a copy of that video and circulate it, it was THAT good!
I hear ya! I liked Cain but he seemed to have some stumbles in different areas which made me nervous. Then came the accusations. I don't know if they were all true or not but he got out and that really did it for me.
Took me a while to feel good about Newt but when I hear him speak, he grabs my attention. I've noticed that I stop what I'm doing and really listen to him speak. He's not just noise in the background like the other candidates.
I figure if he can get my attention, I should be stronger in my support of him.

I used to write the monthly prayer threads for Sarah Palin, wherein each week a new prayer was added, but I’m the first to admit I wasn’t very good at it.
I truly believe Newt Gingrich needs a weekly prayer thread that we can bump daily with a new prayer added daily. Members would add their own prayers.
Newt is such a brilliant, dedicated, pro-life, TEA Party patriot, who will restore our Republic, and with so much hate out there, we need to pray for his safety and well being and for his strength to carry our message so that voters will realize and see him for the good man and leader we see.
God bless and protect Newt Gingrich and all of his supporters.
Right! I can listen to Newt Gingrich speak all day and I learn from him.

I think I’ve heard Sarah say “loan” of the Presidency before. I don’t recall when . . . I’m think it was either her Labor Day speech in Iowa or maybe the GBeck thing in DC back in August. But IF so, only her and Newt have said that on my recollection at the moment.

I have had a hard time shifting gears from Sarah to Governor Perry then on to Newt. I am getting excited about him just reading threads like this one. :)
