WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Former presidential hopeful Herman Cain threw his support behind Newt Gingrich Saturday night, providing the former House speaker with a late boost just days before Florida's primary.

Cain, a tea party favorite, endorsed his fellow Georgian at a GOP fundraiser Saturday calling him "a patriot."

I agree. When Cain got MSM’d, I, as a volunteer for Cain, went to Newt as well as Cain’s CA. chairperson.

WTH? Why did you ban "mike-zed" for his comment? Not that I really support what he said in that post, but banning a guy for griping about Newt's past? Really? And there's nothing in the guy's posting history that would suggest he's some Romney supporter either.

I agree with GOP_Party_Animal. I didn't agree with mike-zed’s post either, but if we run from these issues now, we'll be blindsided by them in November.

It's a private owned/run forum and it has a specific agenda - foster debate/discussion to promote ideas and philosophies about Freedom and restoration of a Constitutional Representative Republic. The poster did neither and there are many watering down the ranks.

FR ain't public school where PC "tolerance" can be mandated and neither should it be.

I don’t think this will do anything as far as the race is concerned most of his supporters were already in Newt’s corner. It may have helped a little if he had done it right after dropping out

Thanks to Mr. Cain for not making fools out of those of us who supported him. Better late than never.

Rose colored blinders are on sale everywhere. In some places as much as 70 percent off. I suggest buying two pairs.

Why are you attacking me? Because I want to refute the anti-Newt arguments now, rather than being blindsided by them at the last minute in November?

Part of fostering that debate and discussion is to talk about a potential nominee's weaknesses in the general election. Again, I'm neutral about "mike-zed"'s comments, but he was merely pointing out truth. Newt's past is going to be an issue.

Secondly, FR is indeed a private site. But it is supported by donations from its users like me, and possibly the guy that was just pointlessly banned. I like debating with Paultards and those who supported various candidates I didn't like. It sharpens my conservatism and makes me a better voter. Also, I'm fine with clearing out RINOs out of FR - they are not conservatives, but banning this guy was wrong.

there is hope yet

(imho) the best hope for America and all Americans (and this planet) is the defeat of the zer0. Miracles do happen, though (imho) it will take no miracle to defeat zer0. zer0 has supplied and continues to supply us with too much ammo to turn the vote to a rout. zer0 and his minions will remember their defeat for the ammo is there to make it historic. Somethings got to be done to stop Romney! If only some serious Tea Party Conservative/s would come forward and say/threaten...If Romney is the Nominee I am running as a independent.

That could have an affect

It’s ok. Sorry I got mad. You only need wear those here. I didn’t mean you need them all the time. Vetting is important. Do it now so it loses impact down the road. We should be attacking Romney and we are and that’s great. If Gingrich wins this nomination and he just might, I want these tired stories and lies being just that. Tired and old when the race begins against Obama. But to hide from them is folly. We will coelese down the road regardless behind him. A vigorous primary is key to me.

IMO, I don’t think it will matter much. His supporters are probably over to Newt anyway

Yeah, Cain was my candidate, I'm on board with Newt now. I admit I wasn't crazy about it before and NOT because I suported Romney, I was hoping someone else might come along. Sarah endorsed him, too. So now theat we are all agreed why doesn't Mitt just go home..?

Actually, his post {uh-oh, posts failing to fully endorse the philandering, gun-grabbing, big government, global warming loving Newt as the second coming of Reagan are ripe for removal. } was a one-line screed, based on questinable "facts" and were also aimed at the Admin who removed him. In short, his slam about folks espousing "uncomforming" inputs being booted became a self-fulfilling prophesie. The Admins allow all sorts of points of view and rarely boot someone because they stir debate. This guy didn't stir debate and he insulted the integrity of the Mods - why should they ignore the slap to prove him worng? To leave him would be an acknowledgement of what isn't true and would serve no purp[ose unless they think we should all act as libs want us to act when they say something bad and then claim it to be bad manners to acknowledge their duplicity. If he hadn't made the remark directly against the Mods, I would be surprised if he was still with us.

It's akin to a guest in my home stating an opinion I don't agree with. If that's the only issue, he remains welcome. if cals me a thoughtless a$$hole too, he can put his coat on after he exits.

That could have an affect

??? Most likely the wrong affect. Think Perot who made it possible for Clinton to slip in there with 39%. That would be enough to put Obama back in office if the vote is split.
Third party is the last resort and we are far away from that with only 3 states in.
