In the end, the facts won't matter. The discussion of who is more vulnerable, who has the most or least baggage in the general election, whose history will hurt him more or less, whether Bain or the Fannie Mae situation will provide more fodder to the Democrats' political machine won't matter, even though we like to pretend they will.
The Democrats are already engaged in a scorched-earth slaughter-fest, and the media acts as their advocate and champion; nuances of this or that that we Republicans spend time debating will have no place in the lead-up to the November election. In fact, it's rather charming to imagine that anyone will care about blind trusts or the differences between consulting and lobbying and who paid what in capital gains taxes and who cheated on his wife. The media and the Democrats, if you'll pardon the redundancy, will be creating their own versions of reality, their own sets of "facts" that will have no connection to the truth, and the fraud and slander will be rampant, and loud, and pervasive.

Damn right. Politics is never about reality but perception. And perception is what we see and hear. This indeed is the reality for much of today’s electorate. Thinking is something many voters don’t try even assuming they are capable of so dong.
Sums it up very nicely, doesn't it?
It has floored me from the very beginning that the Republicans attacked each other rather than attack Obama. How stupid! Obama is the low-hanging fruit here but everyone has played right into the trap of beating each other up rather than beating Obama up.
I disappointed that all the seemingly better candidates are the ones who have fallen by the wayside and the ones we have left are frankly, the least appealing of the group. We’d be far better off as a party if we had rallied around Palin or Perry or Cain. Instead he was a Massachussetts RINO versus an egotistical loose cannon versus a nut case. We are handing Obama this re-election and there’s no way this should have happened.
We are, truly, the Stupid Party.
You’re exactly right.
As far as I’m concerned, right now the only issue that matters is the candidates’ stance on ending the Federal Reserve. How can anyone support a candidate that supports the institution that’s destroying our country? Be it Gingrich, Romney, Obama or whoever, if they don’t support ending the fed and going back to government issued currency they are shills for bankers and finincial elites.
Medicare is currently insolvent partially because of practices like Romenys Damon Corporation
Senior Citizens should know Romney was a Director of Damon Corporation (quest labs). During his watch, Damon Corporation was found GUILTY of the largest Medicare Fraud Case of the 1990s

You’re right and that’s going to make a great 0bama/DNC ad.
Thanks for the preview.
So very true. Too bad Cain turned out to have a bit of an unsavory history with women(at least enough for people to make noise), Perry turned out to be dumber than a box of hammers when speaking in front of a camera, and Palin was never in it.
It has floored me that the likes of Scott Brown, Mitt Romney, Olympia Snowe, or John McCain can be considered conservative enough to be members of the Republican party.
Seizing the discourse and clearly articulating our concerns won’t be enough against a state controlled media, either. The Marxists have seized the country and aren’t about to give it up. Voter fraud, bribery and mass defacto amnesty for illegals will be used to control the election. Only a nationwide, popular uprising of such magnitude as to put mortal fear into the present leadership will restore the Republic. We need a charismatic leader to take the fight to the enemhy and, instead, we are headed toward a last man standing, swaying from loss of blood.
