Sex trafficking victims reveal horror of witchcraft and torture (Scotland)
Daily Record (Scotland) ^ | 1/27/12 | Annie Brown

VICTIMS of human sex trafficking have told how they were enslaved by witchcraft, torture and death threats in modern-day Scotland.

The harrowing stories of ten women were compiled by campaigners investigating the world’s fastest growing organised crime. Nine came from Africa, one from South America.

In one of the testimonies to a Glasgow charity, a 21-year-old told how she was branded and forced to take a “witchcraft oath” to prevent her escaping.

She said: “I had to take the oath. I was given this mark on my hand. I was told that this mark, if you tell anyone what has transpired, you are going to die. (SNIP) The research found women are trafficked from across the globe to Scotland but mainly from Nigeria, China and Brazil and many come via England.

Why God? Ten yeas? Surely she prayed to Jesus to save her. Why did You take so long? Your idea of time has got to modify to take into account our idea of time. In Jesus’ Name we pray Amen

I’m so glad they are flooding the West. The culture they bring with them will only serve to prove “Our Diversity Is Our Strength!”

Surely everyone has felt this way at some time in his/her life, has questioned God in a similar way...Habakkuk asked God (paraphrase): Why are You going to judge us (Israel) with a nation more wicked than we are?

Part of the answer is to accept His sovereignty. A verse in Scripture that perfectly expresses His sovereignty is in Daniel 4:35, expressed by Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon after God humbled him, then restored his sovereignty:

“...He does according to His will in the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of earth; and no one can ward off His hand or say to Him, ‘What hast Thou done?’”

But just His sovereignty without realizing the rest of His character is only a part of the answer. This Most High God who does according to His will in heaven and on earth is also a loving God, and a compassionate God, a merciful God, One who knows all, is everywhere present, is all-powerful, and who is holy, righteous, and just—He will recompense evil.

There is increasing injustice and wickedness in this world because of sin (since Genesis 3),and it is going to get even worse, but I can know these things that characterize God and know that He has a purpose for all things and that His purposes are revealed in Scripture as well. I can know the Truth of these things through faith in His Son, Who is the embodiment of that Truth. He is our only hope in this world of darkness.

I know that I am an old-fashioned, senior woman who has led a somewhat sheltered life, so perhaps I am asking a dumb question. Why is sex trafficking up? Why is the prostitution business up? When there are so many women these days who are “available”, why is there such a need for these “services”?

Perfect observation left in the comments section of the original article:

It’s interesting in this faithless society where people think they are ‘enlightened’ and are cleverer than their ancestors that people are reverting to what was the status quo thousands of years ago - paganism.

I think sex trafficking has always existed. It’s more apparent these days due to the internet; instant sex video’s on the web, chat rooms, sex rooms, etc. Then we have the TV shows that show sex scenes, half naked women, the language, the un-wed mothers glamorized. Hec, even the soap opera’s now a days are soft porn. I grew up to the Secret Storm, Edge of Night, Days of our lives, I love Lucy, Dick Van Dycke where they could never show a married couple in bed together, they have separate beds....

I think some women do voluntarlity get into high end sex trafficing, especially over in Muslim countries because they pay big dollars. They think, perhaps, earn some big bucks then get out of the business. Sadly no, they are kept and few escape that life...

Pornography is one of the fastest growing reasons for divorce in America. Moral Decay

Yes, moral decay is everywhere. I am just astounded to see how much has changed just in the last 40 years. It’s breathtaking and heartbreaking.

Great book to get hold of is Moral Darwinism, by Benjamin Wiker. It is a study of how the philosophy of Epicurius--which denied the existence of any Divine Creator of the universe, and human life, was "revived" after the age of the "Enlightenment" and now--thanks to Darwin and the consequent rise of Existentialism--dominates modern thinking.

Basically, if "God is dead', as modern thinking seems to declare, there is no reason to fear ANY consequence for "BAD behavior", since there is NO standard by which what is GOOD can be measured, and NO ultimate penalty for engaging in it.

The brilliant student of modern existential literature, Erich Heller, puts it this way:

"Once man’s ability to respond creatively to the ontological mystery [God] had been stunted into something that produced merely an irritated state of mystification, he was left to the spiritual destructiveness of that battle raging within himself: between the conviction of being nothing in the vastness of the universe, and the natural urge which, prompted the ungrace of self-assertion, persuades him of his all-importance. To be nothing and yet everything–this seeming paradox is the pride and the humility of the creature before a God of infinite power and infinite love; but it is the spiritual death suffered by man in the incessant struggle between arrogance and humiliation, in his exposure to the mighty lovelessness of a chance constellation of energy." (From The Disinherited Mind, by Erich Heller)

Faith in a all-loving God--a Heavenly Father--allows us to balance the bi-polar urges of our ego which on the one hand buoys us up with "the ungrace of self-assertion"--or arrogance--and yet on the other weighs us down--or humbles us--with the realization that we are only short-lived and tiny a specks of matter in comparison to all that exists in the universe.

Take away God, the "fulcrum" which keeps pride and humility balanced, and you have the kind of "spiritual schizophrenia" that so many people exhibit today. They feel powerful when they can control someone else--but they soon lose control over the urges to do so--until the urges control them.

And, if they have "killed God", they have also destroyed the sacredness of all the life that exists on earth, including their very own!

According to the book of Revelation slave trading will be done in the new Babylon that will be erected. I remember reading that in the 70's thinking how very strange that sounded and not being able to imagine slavery going on in the modern world. Goes to show how right the Bible is. The following verse talks about some of the trading that will go on in Babylon.

Rev 18:13 And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.
