Gingrich campaign to traveling press: Find your own damn ride

ORLANDO, Fla.--It's total newt-iny on the Gingrich campaign press bus.

For each caucus or primary during the 2012 presidential campaign, Gingrich's campaign has organized transportation for the reporters assigned to cover him--as is customary for nearly every presidential candidate.

[snip]

That working relationship pretty much stopped working this weekend, two days before the Florida primary.

The trouble began when Daniel Malloy, a reporter for the Atlanta Journal Constitution, started to do some simple math,

[another snip]

Sitting in the back of the bus that day, the penny pinching press got to thinking:

[yet another snip]

One by one, the reporters signaled that they would not join the former speaker on his plane.

[yet again another snip]

And because fewer journalists would be on the plane, the cost per seat skyrocketed to more than $3,000.

[even yet again another snip]

The reporters on the bus, now saddled with an unexpected new cost, fumed. Campaign aides were furious over the little mutiny. Reporters threatened to dispute the charges to their credit cards.

Then, the campaign dropped a bomb: No reporters would be allowed to fly with Gingrich on his campaign swing on Monday,

Good for Newt!

If the damn press had not acted like a pack of sniveling spoiled brats, there would be no problems.

[I hate cutting something to pieces and still try to get the gist of it through]

The press is the enemy.

Treat them that way. They started it.

Let them ride half way and then push them out the door at 35,000 feet.

SOB's are into character assassination, then cry when there are consequences.

Maybe Newt wasn't serving caviar and truffles on his plane like Hussein.

So use to being treated like royalty by zero only when they treat him like “the emperor has no clothes”

Professional Treason. The press found a way to increase Newt’s financial burdens in air travel. Break him. Hardly about saving the company man’s budget for travel in a primary/election year.

Newt is just the man needed for these trying times. He hits back with aplomb. Delicious.

I agree, good for Newt. The MSM press are NOT our friends.

They along with the Establishment hate our guts.

GO NEWT! GO SOCIAL CONSERVATISM!

The Nominee that can first defeat the Media is the only one we can pick. Dunham IS the media, without them he is nothing.

The press shouldn’t fraternize with those they’re covering.

Great job Newt! For way too long Republicans have smooched up to the media...only to get kicked in the groin. Let’s stop pretending these people are some neutral observers whose job is to report the “truth”.

Ninety percent of the press are on the Obama/Romney team...and I especially include Fox news in this group.

Stab ‘em in the eye. Metaphorically speaking, of course.

Let them ride half way and then push them out the door at 35,000 feet.

Tell them in advance you'll let them on for half price, then at the halfway point toss them out. Useful propagandists ARE useless eaters.
