A new InsiderAdvantage poll conducted Sunday night of likely Republican voters in the state of Florida shows a significant surge for former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
The poll has former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney leading with 36 percent of voters, followed by Gingrich at 31 percent.
The Sunday results of 646 likely GOP voters are as follows:
Romney 36 percent Gingrich 31 percent Santorum 12 percent Paul 12 percent Other/Undecided 9 percent
"The race will be tighter than expected," Matt Towery, chief pollster of InsiderAdvantage told Newsmax.
Towery noted that his poll showed a surge for Romney on Wednesday, with him leading Gingrich by 8 points. The InsiderAdvantage poll was among the first to show Romney's resurgence after his dismal showing in the S. Carolina primary.

Thanks for keeping it interesting, Rick!
He has to reach out to those undecideds somehow and I have to wonder how anyone could be undecided this late in thegame. Are they waiting for someone to promise them a free pony?
The overriding interest of this cabal has been and continues to be: the accumulation of power through the control of the income, borrowing and spending by the Federal Government. Thus, with the exception of the presidency of Ronald Reagan and the Republican controlled House of Representatives from 1995 to 1999, the Republican members of the Ruling Class have been content since 1952 to merely slow down the big-government policies of the Democrats while publicly decrying their tax and spend policies."...................The Republican Establishment's Strategic Blunder
Turned on the TV and saw an old Tom Brokaw news cast of the Gingrich ethics ‘conviction’. Of course it was a verifiable Kangaroo court, or course Newt was completely exonerated later, and of course, it was a Romney add. Despicable.
If they're waiting, they're waiting on the wrong party. Their candidate is Vermin Supreme who is running as a Democrat.
Come On, Newt.
Hit him on the LIBERAL judges he appointed while Gov.
Polls are bullsh*t.
The LEFT is really pulling for Romney. They are claiming he is kicking Newt’s butt. What would happen if Newt and Santorum teamed up with the understanding that the one who did better in the primaries would be the Presidential nominee and the other, the VP and that a vote for one of them is a vote for both of them? That would sandwich Romney.
Mitt will never get the majority of delegates—the caucuses and primaries from now til Super Tuesday have been rigged to favor him but ST and after will cripple his run.
He is despised too much as a liar liberal and his blatantly dishonest smear campaigns are turning people off.
If the undecided or any of the Paul/Santorum votes fall his way, Newt has this thing won inspite of Willard’s sixteen million.
IIRC non of those states are winner take all.
The Romney Machine is on Faux and Friends right now trying to depress the vote by using an NBC poll(on Fox) to say he is up double digits! Such crap! Why have we not heard about Mitt drawing crowds in the villages? People call you friends and tell them to vote so that this thing can continue! Don’t give it to this poser.
:What would happen if Newt and Santorum teamed up with the understanding that the one who did better in the primaries would be the Presidential nominee and the other, the VP and that a vote for one of them is a vote for both of them?;
I like it. Other than that Santorum has to realize how ridiculous this is starting to look.
I see Mitt Romney and John Boehner as one and the same. They both talk a good game but when push comes to shove, they give in to the liberals because they believe the same things until it’s election time! AND that’s the problem. These two are both sissies, girly men....wimps at best. I will NOT vote for Romney. PERIOD!
Am I thrilled with Newt? No, not his personal life BUT I do know he believes in the Constitution!
We need a REAL MAN to be President this time NOT a metro-sexual who’s more worried about his hair! Romney is a liberal just like John McCain is. Romney keeps saying he’s the converavtive so it will STICK. It will NOT!
This was posted last night and has over 250 hits if you folks want to read more about the Gingrich surge.
how anyone could be undecided this late in the game...
Uninformed! Everyone is not the political junkie you and I are. LOL
These are primary voters we’re talking about here though, not general election voters voting for the best hairstyle. They really ought to have it figured out by now.
