If he was able to articulate the conservative vision, and people would like him for that, why hasn’t he already gotten the voters who currently are supporting Santorum.

After all, they must see the polls, they know Santorum is out of Florida. They read that only Newt can win. And yet for some reason these conservatives aren’t giving up on Santorum and supporting Newt, no matter how many of them are banned or threads pulled.

If Gingrich can’t persuade these conservatives with his ability to articulate the conservative vision, why do you think he’ll be more successful articulating the conservative vision in the general election with people who currently are predesposed to dislike him?

I do want an answer — Newt is likely going to be our only choice, and he’s going to need all of us selling him, so how are we going to do it?

Like women never leave their husbands. Give me a break. Besides there have been polls that prove this is BS.

His brother agrees...

I am pretty sure Rush is voting for Santorum tomorrow.

Right near the end of his show is when he likes to hide his personal stuff. Around 50 mins into his 3rd hour he dropped it in. He carefully repeated in that emphatic soft voice he gets, “Every one of them supported health care mandates... Every one of them...” (Paraphrasing - I don’t have the transcript yet) “EXCEPT SANTORUM.” Then he went IMMEDIATELY into his commercial, like a cat covering up his little turd... ;)

I am convinced he wanted to stick his vote into today’s show, and when he wants to do such a thing, he does it the way Alfred Hitchcock placing himself into his oeuvres as an extra.

And I’m convinced Rush’s voting for Santorum.

It’s time for people to recognize this fact and get behind Rick Santorum.

He has no money, no momentum and no chance of defeating Romney.

Obama cannot open his mouth without spewing lies. All Newt has to do is call him on them every time and keep doing it. That goes for all the candidates.

He is at 13%.

and he was at 11% the night before SC. He ended up at 17%. and it didn’t hurt gingrich one bit.

Yeah, you’re so right... and I guess why not throw in that Palin’s negatives are even higher that Newt’s.

Hey, Folks. I think it’s clear that this forum has at least 40% who are either flat out voting for Romney or Santorum.

I’m wondering if people like Michelle Malkin ever sit and listen to Newt’s speeches, and if they do what they’re thinking.

I listen to Romney or Santorum and two minutes later I can’t recite one single thing they’ve said. The only person worse is Obama.

With Newt, I’ll listen and then call a friend or relative saying, “You should have heard Newt in Coco Beach or the Villages etc.”

We’re seeing a very special American here. I’ve not felt this way about a candidate in a loooooooooong time.

Sure they do but that does not mean that your logic will impact their vote.

We’ll get some good numbers tomorrow and see if there is a gender gap.

Paleeeze. Let’s assume what you say is true, and Santorum pulls once again 3rd or 4th place numbers, meaning that he cannot possible win. Why should he stay in the race?

Please answer.

“Newt is able to articulate the Conservative vision, people will like him for that, not his personal life”

I know Speaker Gingrich says he’s conservative, but it was really me that orchestrated the conservative revolution in the 90s. It was me that others came to with problems. It was me that got everything going. While the speaker said he did all the things, it was really me, me, me, me. Why doesn’t anyone believe me. It was me, me, me.

“So, as far as you’re concerned it’s Newt or Obama?”

For all practical purposes, I suppose.

Better to cut our losses and get an accepatble nominee in 2016 if Mitt is the nominee. We’ll be able to maximize our House and Senate majorities as the Party out of the White House. Good things will come of it; plus, we can then stall for four years.

It’ll work much better than Romney with a Democrat Senate and House in 2014. “Ah jeez, guys, it was Massachusettes for Pete’s sake.......er........I mean a Democrat Senate for Pete’s sake......what’d you expect?”

No thanks.

I’d rather have an option in 2016 than no option until 2020. I’ll be joining “Project 17” if Romney wins the nod.

Santorum is a nice beard for the politically savvy Limbaugh brothers, who know very well that he is no threat to Romney.

I’m convinced Rush is voting for Newt Gingrich.

Rush does NOT want Romney AND he will want his vote to count!

It’s simple. Newt will self destruct. It’s in his DNA to step in it big time. He has an over-sized ego and cannot control his own mouth. It’s just a matter of time. I’m hoping sooner rather than later for everyone’s sake. That and the fact that his negatives are so high that he can never be elected in the general election. People already know who he is. They already have formed opinions of him. Many women don’t like him. We need some of the women & independents in the general election to win. Independents don’t like him. Conservatives alone won’t carry the day. I wish that wasn’t so but it is. Many people wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, hoping he has matured, however he continues to prove he has not and his support will continue to erode.

Because his poll #s were 11% in SC and he got nearly 18%. his debates then were ok.

Since then, in FL he is polling up to 16% AND HE HAD 2 GREAT DEBATES! He could come in 2nd.

Later in this race, something could happen to romney or gingrich’s support. Santorum is a great conservative and has the fight in him. His greatest days are ahead of him.

“People already know that they don’t like him...the more they see of him the more likely they are to remember just how much they dislike him.” SANTORUM is simply unelectable.
