For the first time in roughly two-and-a-half years, Democrats lead Republicans on the Generic Congressional Ballot, this time for the week ending Sunday, Jan. 29.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 41% of Likely U.S. Voters would vote for the Democrat in their districts congressional race if the election were held today, while 40% would choose the Republican instead.

What a nightmare. How can the people NOT see that the democrats haven’t even passed a budget in the Senate in over 1000 days?
This is very scary. The Republican Leadershp has a way of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
Is there anywhere else to go? The US is not the US I knew.
They don’t know becase the MSM does not report it. The MSM do not see it as worth mentioning.
Because our media is hard core Marxist, the schools are hard core Marxists and 50% of Americans are on the dole. Blueprint for FULL Marxism.

TEA Party’s fault (/s)
We are SO screwed..if the Dems get control of everything again this country is done. This and the GOP pimping Romney, absolutely disgusted where we are headed
Doesn’t everyone want Nancy Pelosi back in power?
On a more serious note, if the GOP were not numbnuts, I could reduce the poll to 20% democrat and keep it there. They have members of Congress who are out and out radical marxists but oh no we wouldn’t want to say anything about that. Next how about Pelosi/Reid personal family corruption? Too impolite.
I once suggested to a GOP legislator that I would like them to get tougher with the democrats. I can only describe the reaction being as if he had just been approached by a babbling, mentally disadvantaged child. That was the level of his condescendence at the mere suggestion.
simple- because the GOP fights like little girls, bends over to the rats and does not force people to see the truth...they just assume everyone is going to understand whats going on....
Obama has boxed himself in and he will lose. When the GOP nominee is picked then all they have to ask the people is, “are you better off than you were 4 years ago?”. When Obama tries to corner the GOP in congress then all they have to say is “Obama was President. Blame him and the idiots that voted for him”.
I believe the numbers for republicans would be a lot higher without Boner and the likes. I have a feeling there were a lot of “none of the above” responses that weren’t counted.
I’d be willing to bet that 41% of voters don’t even know who their congressman is.
Assmussin and a##holes together again.
Kinda...They don't mention it because it would kick THEIR party's arse in three. These people are NOT media over lords, they are party first (democrat), country somewhere way down the list after the pet liberal causes oriented people. Think 1930's Germany.
“How can the people NOT see that the democrats havent even passed a budget in the Senate in over 1000 days?”
There is a “core” of Americans now receiving entitlements that probably bottoms out around the 40% level. And many (not all) are what might be called “permanent democrats”. No amount of logic, reason, truth or persuasion is ever going to dislodge their political loyalties. So the “41%” number should be regarded as a baseline, a starting point.
It’s the “persuadable” 19% in that poll, not proclaiming an affiliation either way, that we have to work on.
