Juan Williams Finds Racism in Candidates Use of 'Constitution' and 'Founding Fathers'

So a guy whose contract was terminated by NPR on a phony pretext for not toeing the liberal line enough, including writing a book ("Enough: The Phony Leaders, Dead-End Movements, and Culture of Failure That Are Undermining Black America--and What We Can Do About It") which indicted the modern civil-rights movement for, well, undermining Black America, now appears to want eliminate "Constitution" and "Founding Fathers" from the lexicon of Republican candidates -- and possibly, it would appear, from political discussion in general -- because, well, they're racial code words. How ironic.

Two weeks ago at the Fox News/Wall Street Journal debate in Myrtle Beach, S.C., I asked each GOP presidential candidate some pointed questions about the racial politics that will play a big role in the presidential campaign.

Race is always a trigger in politics, but now a third of the nation are people of color — and their numbers are growing. With those minorities solidly in the Democratic camp and behind the first black president, the scene is set for a bonanza of racial politics.

"The language of GOP racial politics is heavy on euphemisms that allow the speaker to deny any responsibility for the racial content of his message. The code words in this game are “entitlement society” — as used by Mitt Romney — and “poor work ethic” and “food stamp president” — as used by Newt Gingrich. References to a lack of respect for the “Founding Fathers” and the “Constitution” also make certain ears perk up by demonizing anyone supposedly threatening core “old-fashioned American values.”

So now the words Founding Fathers and Constitution are off limits to non-libs.

Juan Williams is a race baiter who would not have the millions he has made masquerading as a journalist were it not for affirmative action.

Juan Williams needs to spend some time with that Wallbuilders guy and learn about America’s Black Founding Fathers that the liberal history teachers don’t want anyone to know about.

Yep. So much for the liberal utopia of every race getting along with each other which is nonsense.

Juan likes his life on the plantation. Heck, it beats working for starvation wages in some northern factory.

Fox continues to descend into irrelevancy with the likes of Jan Williams and Geraldo Rivera. These two extreme leftists are right at home with a mascara-wearing fruitcake, a midget, a Scientologist, Romneybots, Clinton cronies and Rove acolytes. FReeper onyx refers to it as Faux News and I'm inclined to agree with that characterization.

Anymore, the only source for truth in a mad world is Free Republic.

OK, I’ve had it. God help someone within earshot who even intimates such a stupid premise. They’ll hear more about John Locke, natural rights, limited government, abolition, rule of law, and liberty in 30 seconds than they’ve heard in their entire lives, delivered with a George Carlin disregard for propriety. And I will dog them about their stupidity, and require them to apologize, loudly. As a friend of mine said once, this is a mountain I am willing to die on.

And if its at work, maybe flooding human resources with complaints about harassment, lack of tolerance, indifference to diversity, and anything else I can think of might be on the way, too. Afterwards, the rest of the crew can view the head on the stick as a warning not to piss me off this way.

This is where politeness has gotten us. My choice is to be unpopular with some or watch the republic die of neglect. Is there a choice?

Fox News does a good job with the news shows. The entertainment shows are slipping a bit.

Ironically, one solid conservative of late is Greta Van Susteren who used to be a liberal.

Greta Van Susteren

Sorry but I just can't watch a cultist performing on an interview show any more than I can watch Tom Cruise acting in a movie. No offense intended at all to you personally -- we all have our varying tastes.

Yep. So much for the liberal utopia of every race getting along with each other which is nonsense.

Well, members of every race can certainly get along with each other individually. And they're all equal under the ideals of our system.

So, inasmuch as individuals can be both free and civil, in aggregate, every race should be able to get along together as long as a strong majority of people within each race embrace what it is to be a free American.

Just as I don't want government policy to treat me any specific way because of my race, similarly I believe that we as individuals should try to do the same.

Peaceful coexistence is an important aspect of Freedom, so hopefully the notion that "races can all get along" is neither "liberal" nor "utopian", but an important goal to strive for in a thriving, color blind America of the future.

Juan finds racism in tea leaves, whatever possessed FOX to hire him is beyond me.

Someone needs to remind Juan that without the "founding fathers" there would have been no Consitution, thus, no civil rights and he'd still be in Africa.

It's amazing how the left wants us to just trash our whole system of government and prosperity...the same system which has been dishing out the freebies to them for two hundred years.
