Matt Strawn, the Iowa GOP chairman who has been embroiled in controversy since the Jan. 3 Iowa caucus results, is resigning, he announced Tuesday.
It is only because the Iowa GOP has returned as a strong and relevant voice in Iowa politics that I am now able to evaluate all the competing priorities in my personal, business and political life. I want some of what he is smoking.
Well not one to shy away from bluntness on FR, I’ll give my 2 cents.
Some people have legit reasons to be pissed at Strawn, or at the very least they are sincere about those reasons, even if I myself don’t think Strawn should have been gotten rid of for those reasons. That doesn’t bother me.
What bothers me is the cabal of Polk county pissy princesses and their latest round of internecine warfare to try and grab power for themselves. Those are the ones trying to pimp Santorum as the reason for their supposed righteous indignation to get rid of Strawn.
They have no desire for anything other than having power and there is zero trust in their agendas. The deal is we are two seats away in the state Senate from a majority which will give us control of everything, plus it is within our grasp to have all 4 congressional seats GOP.
I don’t want us - again - to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory by a few pinheads jockeying for position within the party.
