In a rare television interview, former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist -- who left the Republican Party during his unsuccessful 2010 U.S. Senate bid -- told Chuck Todd on MSNBC's "Daily Rundown" that he'd consider voting for President Obama in November.
“Consider? Sure, I would consider that,” said Crist. “I really think he’s sincere and genuine. I think we have a lot time, a lot of issues to talk about, but I think, in his heart, he’s trying to do what’s right for the country overall.”
Now a registered independent, Crist said he also wouldn't rule out running for office as a Democrat himself in the future.
“I wouldn’t definitively rule out anything,” the former governor said.
In recent days, Newt Gingrich has invoked Crist's name to criticize Mitt Romney, noting that a number of former Crist staffers and supporters are now backing Romney's presidential bid.
Asked if Gingrich’s attack was good Republican primary politics, Crist said, “I really don’t know.”

Florida allready knew Crist was a closet democrat, among other things in his closet existence.
But now they can see why he is backing Romney and helping with Mitts campaign.
So Newt is our Candidate and the Liberal operatives are being outed everyday by Newt.

Crist is a spoiled fruit cake.
His Rinoism was so transparent it was pathetic. Instead of losing the Senate primary gracefully he decides to run as an Independent basically out of Spite. I am glad that he lost and hope that he loses in any future endeavor (though I am not optimistic on this front he may win as Gov as a Dem next cycle)

Does he really believe that, or has he swallowed the Kool-aid. If he believes it, then he hasn’t a clue, and if he has swallowed, then he has been reached.

He was one of the first “Republikans” who publicly tried to increase his RINO street cred by not meeting Dubya when he came to FL. This is simple courtesy as Governors meet the president at the tarmac. Crist is a true POS.
I sure ended up regretting the vote I cast for him to be governor of Florida.
