Romney Admits Negative Ads Work(And Ad lying)
Atlantic Wire ^ | January 31, 2012; 4:48 PM ET | Elspeth Reeve

"Negative ads work" has long been political conventional wisdom, but now we have a new case study to prove it. Mitt Romney says he lost the South Carolina primary because he was "vastly outspent with negative ads" by Newt Gingrich—which isn't true, by the way—and implied that he's winning in Florida because of his own negative ads against Gingrich.

How can you tell the mud-slinging works? The top four searches for "Gingrich" are "Callista," "Newt ethics violations," "Newt wives," and "Newt scandals," The Washington Post's Chris Cillizza reports, results he says "prove that the negative ad barrage from Romney and his affiliated super PAC really paid dividends."

-snip-

Romney: He's finally admitting that going negative can help him.

Romney has spent most of the primary playing down the importance of negative ads, particularly those aired by the super PAC that supports him, Restore Our Future.

When Gingrich essentially accused Romney of trying to buy an election, saying "He would if he could," Romney responded, "This is an election, however, that's not being driven by money raised. It's being driven by message connection with the voters, debate and experience."

Romney said the ads merely “pointed out some of the aspects of [Gingrich's] record that people weren’t aware of."

-snip-

In Florida, he's less reluctant to throw mud. "When attacked, you have to respond," Romney said in Tampa, ABC News' Jonathan Karl reports. Romney and his backers spent six times more than Gingrich, and a whopping 92 percent of ads in Florida were negative.

mormonISM IS NOT Christianity.
Romney is who he is because of his core beliefs, which are mormonISM.

Boo hoo, somebody’s feelings got hurt that they lost South Carolina.

Mittens is shocked that he’s not already declared the nominee.

and lying works in debates

someone truthfully points out your horrible record... you just say that’s just not true.. we were #1 under my leadership and I am very proud of my record!

if they pin you down .. you just change positions from the previous month and deny you ever held the former position, OH! and for bonus points get mad they even suggested you flipped.

claim ANYTHING you think might help you at the moment. Heck! claim that your Mexican because your polygamist grandfather fled the US to Mexico to avoid bigamy charges.

Some people don’t actually want a liar for a President. As for his Christian “Faith”, see above...

Romney is a lying snake! If he is winning because of his record and experience as he is quoted saying above why would the dishonest, vicious attack ads be necessary?

Romney may end up buying the GOP nomination, but he’ll never be President.

I believe the man would switch to the Democrat party right now, if he thought that’s how he could become President. He’s repugnant. Really.

It worked for him in Iowa...it worked for Newt in South Carolina...it worked again for Romney in Florida.

But when I google Gingrich, these are the top 6 links I get:

Mitt Romney for President| MittRomney.com

News for Gingrich

Help Get Out the Vote! | Newt Gingrich 2012

Newt Gingrich - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gingrich sued by 'Eye of the Tiger' composer - latimes.com

Primary, Romney and Gingrich Travel State

On the otherhand, when I google Romney I get the following top 6 links:

Mitt Romney for President | MittRomney.com

News for Romney

Mitt Romney - Official campaign site

Romney - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Florida primary, former Mass. Gov. Romney, McCain rally vets in Pensacola, Fla.

Romney ridicules Gingrich on eve of Florida vote - Yahoo! News
So, I do not know when or where this story got its links and search results, but that' s what I just pulled up on Google with the names "Gingrich," and "Romney."

A very disgusting fact to me is the true personality of Romney that has come out the last few days. He is mean and vicious some of the things he has said about Newt and his campaign have nauseated me. The first things that come to me is that “Newt is pathetic” and that “Newt belongs on the moon”.

Another thing that deeply disturbs me is Romney’s insistence that Newt did not support Reagan and that he left the House in disgrace from ethics charges.

Mark Levin is blasting Romney for assassinating Gingrich with so many negative ads and said he spent so much on Gingrich, he will not have enough to fight Obama later. He furthermore said that the way he chided Newt when he felt he won was not something Reagan would do. He said everyone making fun of Newt for his moon idea ought to ask what is more looney. Romneycare or Newts moon idea?
