Fitchburg woman and daughter 'terrified' as saw rips down door after getting wrong address

FITCHBURG -- It was a horror movie come to life.

Judy Sanchez woke Thursday to the sound of heavy footsteps in her stairwell, followed by a loud motor. She got to her kitchen in time to see the blade of a chain saw rip through her front door.

"It was so crazy," Judy Sanchez said. "I was terrified."

Jan. 26 was the day of Operation Red Wolf, a multiagency sweep during which 16 people in Fitchburg were arrested on charges related to gang activity, drug trafficking and illegal gun sales after a two-year investigation by federal, state and local law-enforcement officers.

The people sawing through her door were FBI agents, looking for a gang member suspected of trafficking cocaine. But they went to the wrong address.

Sanchez said the ordeal traumatized her and her 3-year-old daughter, Ji'anni, and she is unsatisfied with the agency's response to the error.

About 10 FBI agents came into her apartment at 391 Elm St., that morning, guns drawn and pointed at her. There was no knock, and they didn't shout that they were from the FBI until after the saw was buzzing through her six-panel front door, she said.

They announced AFTER starting to saw on the door? How the Hell is that behavior calculated to alert the occupant that they are legitimate LEOs acting on a warrant? On those facts it would take me about 10 seconds to decide to acquit anyone who blew those bastards away in the process of committing their home invasion.

Similar to Sheriff Dupnick/Dipshit of Az. sending SWAT in to a service members home.

Good chance I’d have emptied a .357 into the proximity of the chainsaw without checking to see who’s on the other side.

Honestly, who in their right mind would care about who is on the other side of their front door when there's a chainsaw ripping through it?

And not a day goes by without a congressman or legislator looking to give themselves more power to keep people from smoking a doobie and eating corn chips.

Always check the keyword tags at the bottom of the article. Most posters put the state in there.

In this case it indicates MA

“I would empty half a clip of my M1A through the door.” Why send 10 rounds when you can send 21 rounds through the door and surrounding walls.

This was a case of correct building, even correct floor. But of two doors to choose from, they picked the wrong one and to all appearances left the correct one alone! If they later caught him, it wasn’t for lack of telltale hubbub.

Dang, I’d be dead because if I see a chainsaw coming through a wall or door, they’re going to get Saigafied..
And of course, after I’m dead, they would lie, and say they announced they were the FBI.

like shooting, if you aren't sure of your target, don't pull the trigger... a 50/50 shot should NEVER be good enough for the F.B.I.

fire them all

I think the only way the fbi is going to learn is when they take home a pile of dead agents. When you knock on the wrong house, do not announce yourself, they are acting illegally and deserve to be blown away as the homeowner believes a home invasion is occurring.

A semi auto shotgun would have launched 8 rounds at them in a few seconds.

This stunt of running a chainsaw in an enclosed hall also could have gotten the Feebs asphyxiated, it seems to me. Unless it was a plug-in electric unit.
