The Mitt Romney Deception
Mass Resistance ^ | November 20, 2006 | Brian Camenker, MassResistance

Posted on 02/01/2012 7:28:43 AM PST by MiddleEarth

Despite recent statements across the country by Governor Mitt Romney claiming he's pro-life, pro-family and a committed conservative, a broad investigation of his actual statements, actions, and public positions over the years indicates that he has spent his entire career speaking and governing as a liberal - and that his new found conversion to conservatism very likely coincides with his candidacy for the presidency.

The information in this report is gleaned from public records, press accounts, internet web sites and research (as well as personal observation) by my organization, MassResistance, a grass-roots pro-family group that has observed Governor Romney for over a decade. We have analyzed his legislation, met with his staff, lobbied for and against his agenda (depending what it is) and otherwise compiled considerable research on his administration. We have also been alarmed by misleading and glowing accounts about Romney which have appeared in the conservative media over the past year. The fact that these articles were based upon sloppy research and material supplied by the Romney camp gave us great incentive to set the record straight. Few national political writers have bothered to speak with any MassResistance member, or for that matter anyone critical of Romney's record.

One of the few conservative publications to expose Romney's liberalism is the conservative weekly Human Events which (in a 2005 article) listed Romney at number eight on its list of "Top Ten Republicans in Name Only (RINOs)." Indeed, this report will demonstrate that Romney was probably the most pro-abortion and pro-gay rights Republican official in the nation for the last decade.

I don't know if this has been posted before or not. I just found it online last night. I was very wary of Romney before I found it but now I am petrified of him.

The link is from 2006 but if you click "Complete list of MassResistance Romney reports" you will find some updated materials.

If I was in Newt’s camp, I’d hire you to cut a television spot!

If there were a way to get this information out to Tea Party leaders throughout the country I think this would wake people up.

I wish I could say I am the author. I would gladly help cut a tv spot for Newt anyway though. haha

Some of these facts listed in the article are incredible:

Romney is willing to support some embryonic stem cell research

“Romney has decided to support experimentation on surplus frozen embryos from in-vitro fertilization procedures.”
- National Review Online 2/11/2005

Romney Approves of Abortion Pill and Supports the Legalization of RU-486

“When he ran for governor in 2002, Romney said he supported expanding access to the emergency contraception pill, a high dose of hormones that women can take to prevent pregnancy up to five days after sex . . . On a questionnaire Planned Parenthood gave to the gubernatorial candidates in 2002, Romney answered ‘yes’ to the question, ‘Do you support efforts to increase access to emergency con-traception?’ “
- Boston Globe 7/7/2005

Gov. Romney has a long history of promoting and furthering the homosexual agenda, and working closely with leading gay activists

In March, 2005, Boston’s leading homosexual newspaper, Bay Windows, told its readers that Romney’s pro-gay record belies his new-found “conservatism”:

“Governor Romney has been touring the country in the past few weeks, courting anti-gay right-wingers in South Carolina, Missouri, and Utah with speeches designed to show that he is firmly in their camp. Yet a look at Romney’s record shows that his Rick Santorum drag act is a relatively new phenomenon.”
- Bay Windows, 3/3/2005

-—That’s just to name a few.——

Romney argued he was more pro-abortion than Ted Kennedy when he ran for the US Senate in 1994 ...

and in 2002 when he ran for MASS Gov he argued he was always pro-abortion and that he would not change the law...

during a debate in 2008 he said he was proud of his own mothers pro-abortion platform when she ran for US Senate in 1970

(back when abortion was illegal...)

He said if minor girls under 18 couldnt get their parents permission they were to go to a judge for the OK to have an abortion..

The guy has no soul...

Why should ANY of this suprise us. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that there is NO way in hell you could EVER win election in MA as a Republican, unless you were anything but a LIBERAL!!!

He is an OPPORTUNIST!!! He will say ANYTHING if he thinks it will garner him a vote. Just like I believe he will DO anything to make a buck. He is the most unprincipled person yet, to run for office with an R behind his name.

What the hell is his campaign slogan going to be???

I guess since he comes straight out of MA. he can borrow one from his fellow liberal; I was for it before I was against it!!!

Mitt Romney: Socialized medicine at the Federal level - BAD!! (wink wink)

Socialized medicine at the State level - GOOD!!

God help us!!!!

I saw where someone (a lib) on Facebook posted, “At least with Romney, we would get another president who supports abortion and the individual mandate.”

Libs get it, so why are Republicans voting for this guy?????

Yes, and the less time massResistance spends publishing silly attacks on Scott Brown, the more time they have to publicize the details of the Romney threat.

Whenever he launches into "America the Beautiful" it reminds me of this.

No, he's nothing in common with the guy in the helmet, but still, he protests too much.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I’m in for a long slog with a “you won’t vote for him because he’s a Mormon” group of people and this is exactly what I’ve been looking for!

I want to know how someone with his views hasn’t been ex-communicated by his church. (I’m not being snarky in the least, I seriously want to know.)

Well, here’s a link where Romney tries to explain that very question...off air. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=IFkaCji-UDA

Basically, he says you CAN be a “pro-choice” Mormon as long as you’re not actively involved in procuring one. I would think that being a pro-abortion candidate willing to pass anti-life laws is pretty active.

You mean articles like this:
http://www.massresistance.org/docs/gen/10d/brown_dadt/lang.html
Thank God for men like Brian Camenker who are trying to shine the light on the illness that is Massachusetts politics. Scott Brown is worse than Romney. Two complete fraud chameleons.
Scott Brown:
Pro obamacare Pro amnesty
Pro abortion
Dodd Frank
Defended Obama’s illegal recess appointment of Cordray.
I personally heard him on Howie Carr's show say that he did NOT want to repeal Obamacare and that he is open to amnesty. He will lie and spin if confronted. He is going to get run over in November because he is completely unprincipled.

While Mitt-Witt has been running for President for the last six years......or the years before that, has he stumped for any Conservative/Republican candidates across the country?

Has he spoken out for Constitutional and conservative principals and against Obama and his policies at varous events, TV, Radio before the primaries?

Maybe I missed it, but this guy is Ted Kennedy in republican drag.

Btw-—thanks for the link
