The root cause is anti-drug laws that drive up the prices.
How much longer are we as a society going to tolerate the drug scourge that inflicts every city, county, and hamlet in our nation? When will we decide to demand laws that require the death penalty if you deal drugs? Arrest them, try them, and if convicted execute the drug dealers within 90 days. No appeals, no anything, just justice in the form of death.
Dealers already face death from competitors with no trial - yet they are undeterred, and every one taken off the streets is quickly replaced.
