The following message was published many years ago, utilizing Dr. (Professor) Walter Williams' warning about the negative consequences of minimum wage laws on families and those who most need work experience and earnings. Some numbers cited would have to be adjusted for today, but his cautions were true then, and he has repeated them on "Stossel" during the past year.
Dr. Williams understands and has been teaching, speaking, and writing about the tragic consequences of the so-called "progressive" policies which Democrats have inflicted upon Americans--all in the name of "helping" them.
Slavery to government is no better than slavery to individual masters. Yet, the "regressives" continue to buy power and influence by promoting policies that destroy opportunity, prosperity, and freedom for our own and future generations.
Automatic minimum wage increases, price controls on bread and beets, a bottle of vodka at the end of a day’s work at the collective tractor factory for the masses! Luxuries and mega-dollars for the elites! That is the America of Obamaromney.

The minimum wage should be eliminated entirely. Government has no business telling businesses how little or how much they choose to pay their employees.
If the employee doesn’t like the wage he is earning, the proper course of action is to QUIT, not to whine to the government to force the employer to raise his wage.
Just ruminating on Romney and his Morman roots. I have always enjoyed researching geneology sites and grateful for the Mormon records.
However, would that obsession for charting families lead to a mandatory requirement under ObamaRomneyCare for a DNA file on everyone born in (the soon to be) GOVERNMENT HOSPITALS??????? Barcodes tattoed on the backside???
