Following are excerpts from a statement by Egyptian MP Mustafa Bakri, which aired on Sawt Al-Sha'b TV on February 2, 2012.
Mustafa Bakri: Our country is entering a state of anarchy. This anarchy is caused by America, Israel and the former regime. Look at the New Middle East scheme. Don't talk about all the minute details. What happened in Port Said is a continuation of what happened in Muhammad Mahmoud Street, in Al-Qasr Al-Ayni Street, across from the government, across from Maspero, and in the soccer match against Tunisia. They are all connected. It is an attempt to bring this country down.

....muslims all sound the same
That is a childish reaction. If Bakri is representative
of their new governing class, Egypt will continue to be ill-served. They need to take some responsibility for their
own behavior and start acting like adults.
muzzlems are NEVER responsible for anything stupid or evil that they do.
He makes sense. If the USA didn’t give Egypt so much foreign aid, the people would not have the time or finances to go to soccer matches.
I never believe that the Islamic agitators are really themselves convinced, what they incite their gullible popopulation to believe in.
Islam is about pride and domination.
If they aint dominatin’, somebody done stole it and needs to give it back, ‘cause they supposed to have the domination, because,...shut up.
Why didn’t he just say,”Bush’s fault?”
He is clearly correct. Remember, soccer is not an Islamic sport and fundamentalists would see it banned. This was obviously a long planned plot to destabilize the followers of Mohammad.
How is he any different than Maxine Waters, Al Sharpton, ABC, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, Baghdad Bob, etc ?
I read today many Egyptians are blaming their military and police for the soccer stadium deaths. Now this Egyptian MP blames Israel & the US?
I do not understand such thinking. I think when thousands of soccer fans (Ultras) run on the field and attack each other with knives, sticks and firecrackers, plus stampede like water buffalo and kill themselves that the blame should be on them, not the police or other countries. If fans act like this, maybe the soccer games should no longer occur. Maybe the new national game should be back gammon. Egyptians are not taking responsibility for not acting properly. If they want to have a harsh father and minder, they should ask Mubarak to come back [NOT].
Post 7 reminds me of Rev. Al Sharpton and some other brothers.
Each time I see this “refurbished” Sharpton on TV, I keep “seeing” Tawana Brawly, for some reason...
