Army orders court-martial in WikiLeaks case

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) — An Army officer ordered a court-martial Friday for a low-ranking intelligence analyst charged in the biggest leak of classified information in U.S. history.

Military District of Washington commander Maj. Gen. Michael Linnington referred all charges against Pfc. Bradley Manning to a general court-martial, the Army said in a statement.

The referral means Manning will stand trial for allegedly giving more than 700,000 secret U.S. documents and classified combat video to the anti-secrecy website WikiLeaks for publication.

This might go over as well with fellow prisoners as child rape does. They might be in jail, but hey it’s a US JAIL and they would brook no alternative. (Weirder things could be imagined.)

The Bradley Manning Support Group, which contends Manning heroically exposed war crimes, issued a statement calling his prosecution "fundamentally unjust."

This is just so...sick!

Good.

Now let him cuddle up with Pollard, and live the rest of his life in a comfortable Federal prison as a traitor to our nation.
Or...we could cut a few hundred thousand dollars from the annual DOD budget by sending both their worthless asses to the front lines of a hot combat zone, in front of a few Marines, as bait.

Just a thought....

Treason should require hanging!

The 24-year-old Crescent, Okla., native faces 22 counts, including aiding the enemy. He could be imprisoned for life if convicted of that charge.

Sadly, we just don't appear to be a serious country any more.

Won't be much of a cuddle up. Pollard, like Robert Hanssen, has been in solitary confinement since the beginning of his incarceration. He's confined to his room 23 hours a day. Pollard's at the Butner Federal Correction Complex in North Carolina; Hanssen's at the Federal Bureau of Prisons Administrative Maximum facility in Florence, Colorado.

I understand that Hanssen's brain has effectively turned to mush as a result of the forced isolation.

Flash to Admiral Ace Lyons

“You know in the Navy in the late nineteen hundreds, homosexuality was rampant in the United States Navy. It was so bad that mothers would not let their sons enlist in the Navy until the Navy cleaned its act up ... On board ship the Navy found that there are three things unacceptable to good order and discipline and its impact on readiness. You cannot have a thief aboard, you cannot have a drug-user or a drug-pusher and we found out you could not have a homosexual.”

James “Ace” Lyons is a retired admiral in the United States Navy whose 36-year career was capped by serving as Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet from 16 September 1985 to 30 September 1987

Bradley Manning, traitor.
The left can’t get enough of him either, so teh left idolizes traitors.
In this case, a traitor homo who did NOT belong anywhere near the uniform.
There were reports of him throwing temper tantrums.
Homosexuals are mentally and emotionally unstable as shown and proven by the left’s latest hero here.

He should face the listed penalty for treason, i.e. DEATH.

The UCMJ is a real bitch; but I'd bet my bottom dollar its nowhere near as "unjust" as to what some hardened soldiers who have done a couple tours overseas would like to dish out.

“Equality” on the battlefield. That’s the problem with little commie fags like this. They think that the battlefield should be “level” and that the enemy should be given all of the information they need in order to make them “equal” with the U.S. military. Execute the little bass turd.

“Ron Paul has hailed accused WikiLeaks source Pvt. Bradley Manning as a “true patriot.”

Manning’s Article 32 hearing concluded on Thursday – just days after he turned 24 years of age. Manning is facing life in prison or even the death penalty.

Stress related to the military policy against gay and bisexual troops serving openly “contributed to mental and emotional problems that should have barred [Manning] from having access to sensitive material,” Manning’s lawyers argued in court.

Paul hailed Manning as a “hero” during a rally held in January.

“If we have an American citizen and he’s willing to take the consequences and practice civil disobedience and say, ‘This is what our government is doing,’ should he locked up and imprisoned?” Paul rhetorically asked to a handful of “nos.” “Or should we, you know, see him as a political hero? Maybe he is a true patriot who reveals what is going on in government.””

Video at infowars.com showing Paul saying same.

Hey, one of the classic rules of the civil disobeyer was the willingness to eat the penalty. This does not even rise to that level. Not to mention that apparently Assange glommed on to a much larger body of classified “gossip” than he has told about yet — and heaven knows who’s got it now. It’s not like it’s simply in Assange’s head.

This ought to simply sink Paul coming as it did from the horse’s mouth.
