The creative minds behind the ad are in the agencys Portland, Ore., branch. Aaron Allen designed a poster for the 2008 Obama campaign and Jimm Lasser designed a basketball sneaker called the Obama Force One, with an image of the president on the soles and the message A Black Man Runs and a Nation Is Behind Him. Lasser displayed the shoe in a 2008 gallery exhibition with the tagline The Dunk on McCain.

Half time in America?
America lost the game, riots will likely follow.
Still working for the 0bama campaign.
Hey Punk......you got PUNKED making this ad....UNLESS you are an Obamaite instead of a libertarian. THIS is what you’ll be remembered for. Idiot.
More like “half-wit time in America”...
...unless people wake the hell up and dump the chump.
If Clint is not for Odumbo, this doesn’t say much about his mental capacity. Is he getting that senile?
Why did Fiat get to buy Chrysler for almost no money? That was the biggest give away of the bailout era, and it’s never been explained.
I liked the spot, and I don’t think it was pro-Obama. The auto-bailouts began under GW Bush by the way, not Obama. So if you think that it’s a great policy - well thank Dubya!
Oh; I am sooo shocked by this news! Not!!!
Half way through an 8-year “term” in the White House and we are supposed to believe it wasn’t more Pepsi “HOPE” corporate communism.
The ad was not about cars.
The ad gave me the message that Obama is halfway through his eight years, and we should all support him. This was basically a taxpayer funded Obama camapign ad. The people who made the ad understood this. This was their mandate.
I guess Clint and GM didn't get the memo.
December 2008 when President Elect Obama was throwing temper tamtrums in the White House. Obama can NOT blame this shi& on Bush. He demanded it.
With the amount of vacation and fun time Obama has logged as opposed to the time at actual work, I’d say a “half-time” President is a good description of his work ethic which he himself described as lazy I think. So yes, “half-time”.... let’s run with it. He has been a half-time President and we really could use a full-time one.
‘Get a life’ ping ....
That was exactly my impression, immediately and without having to do any deep analysis. By the way, it was a Chrysler ad. (Born and raised in Detroit and now living in a western suburb, I did not like Eminem's Chrysler ad from last year either.)
Skinny illegitimate, coke snorting, flag stomping, metrosexual liberal commie rolls Dirty Harry.
Clint had a Newt moment!
After the 2008 election, I see no signs of the American ‘can do’ spirit. I see many demands from the government to ‘do something’. I see many waiting for the government’s largess to be distributed.
I do not see anyone filling the void left by those who went Galt in 2008.
There they go again...focusing on Obama looking black. I’m so sick of this.
Did Obama grow up in the “black experience”? NO
Did his ancestors live as slaves? NO
Is he 100% black? NO
I’m so sick of this $hit!
I’ll say this...the Communists decided a long time ago to use blacks as their wedge and they have done a real good job of it...whites run around cringing at the very thought of being called “racist” and so have turned over our country to the Communists to show how tolerant we are. Can’t believe how effing stupid this is.
Did his ancestors trade slaves? um ah um letsnottalkaboutwhyarabswenttokenya.
Who would’ve thunk? Geeez. What a GD surprise!
DANG, wish I’d written that headline.
( That’s the second time that happened to me today. I had a piece going called “We Are All Catholics Now” and some other writer has one published today by that name. )
Chrysler spends $7 million on this commercial and not even a Thank You to the American Taxpayer for bailing them out.
Well, we give thanks for giving us years of blaming Bush. It is three years gone and you still blame Ole George? Get a life and think about the true blame. So sad if this is what you think when you go for Barry's b.s.
We have a half-assed half breed in the White House and a collection of half-assed half-wits in the Congress.
Conservative talk radio, Rush, Hannity et al should just play about 90 seconds of this radio interview with the Chrysler/Fiat CEO the morning after the ad - starting at about 4:07. Some very conservative comments: "I think the fundamental values that drive this country are sacred..." etc.
You saw that subliminal message too? If you find the right Youtube video online, while you can't play it in slo-motion, you can repeatedly hit the pause/start button and see the subliminal message saying
It's true, I saw it......
Thanks for the heads up! See post #29, I forgot to CC you.......
“Hey Punk......you got PUNKED making this ad....”
Rush mentioned that Eastwood might have made the ad innocently and with patriotism, and wasn’t aware that he was being “played” by the White House.
Double that cost. It was a two minute ad and if i heard correctly, they cost $3.5 mil per 30 secs.
That’s right more like $14 million
