By MICHAEL R. CRITTENDEN And NEIL KING JR. Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum handily won Missouri's primary election Tuesday night and was showing signs of strength in Minnesota's caucuses, threatening to deal national front-runner Mitt Romney a setback in two Midwestern states.

With results from Colorado just trickling in, the returns from the other two states holding nominating contests Tuesday looked to give a jolt of momentum to Mr. Santorum, a former Pennsylvania senator.

Wait, we were told we had to vote for one of the socialist candidates. We were told we had to vote for one of the media-chosen candidates.

Had Newt been on the ballot..he more than likely would have won. Recent Polls showed Missourians favoring him but he didn’t file here.

I served as caucus chair for my precinct. Santorum was the big winner across our 8 precinct caucus location. Teens for Gingrich and Paul, 60+ for Santorum. Not a single vote for Romney and this is north metro Denver suburbs.

I just went to the Colorado straw poll.

It was a waste of my time. I voted for Newt, but should have voted for Santorum.

The precinct total was :

Mittens 14
Santorum 12
Paul 7
Newt 4

At least if I had voted for Santorum it would have meant something. Newt seems to be in pretty bad shape here.

Of course the real issue is that the straw poll is meaningless. Whoever has time to put in at all the GOP meetings is the only person who actually gets to vote. Apparently the only person who fit that bill for my precinct (I have schedule conflicts with some of the conventions) is a Romney bot.

Then there was my apparent state rep who sounded pretty good selling standard GOP fare until he slammed Newt at the end and endorsed Mittens. Before that I was thinking about sending him some money. Now he won’t get a dime. Screw him.

On the plus side Joe Coors is running against Perlmutter, so I think I will put some time in on that campaign. I hate Perlmutter. He’s pond scum.

Can we now drop the canard that it is futile to support Santorum, that he cant win, that a vote for anybody but Newt is a vote for Romney, etc?

What is most shocking about your pathetic comment is that you actually think you made a valid point.

So the citizens of Missouri, Colorado, and Minnesota have no right to have a say in who the Republican nominee? Why do South Carolina, New Hampsire, the media, and the establishment get all the say. Good luck winning in Missouri, Iowa, etc. when you’ve already told their citizens they don’t matter.

Take what? Newt wasn’t even on the ballot and no delegates were awarded. That said, Romney is still a LOSER! This will get some positive headlines for Santorum and will help his campaign. The Romney smear machine and his cheerleaders in the media will now turn their guns on Rick. Buying the nomination is going to cost Romney and his friends more than they thought.

Seriously, I give up. There was a time when Freepers were actually above average intelligence. You’ve done a good helping to prove its no longer the case.

No. We have to vote for one of the two options the media telss us to vote for. Think for yourself is completely forbidden.

Mr. Romney’d best get to praying to Adam (the only God he has to deal with for this earth) as he needs as much Celestial Kingdom help as he can get.
