I do not know if the different regard and treatment afforded the ‘gentiles’ extends to a form of taqquiya in the public forum (as opposed to conversion pitches). I have repeatedly asked Mormons if Bishop Romney’s support for abortion in the public theater and his discouragement of it amongst his own represents that double standard. i.e. ‘Gentile’ control while the Mormon numbers grow. A kind of ‘spay your pets’ campaign. So far none have elected answer.
Anyway, I shall ping our ex-Mormon experts.
Unfortunately, Santorum is the last hope for conservatives. Newt is fading and all he can do now is split the conservative vote and give Romney the victory. If Newt had any integrity and cared about others more than himself (but that’s the issue, sin’t it?), he’d bow out now and give Santorum the total conservative vote and bury Romney.

Well the MSM including FOX and other so called Conservative journalists covered for Romney when he bombarded Newt with the negative half truth distorted ads and criticized Newt as WHINING when he complained .
Let us see how they react when Santorum gets the same treatment.

Excellent points. I like Newt, warts and all, but will happily support and vote for Santorum. I will never, ever, ever, vote for Romney. If Mitt wins i am staying home since I just got redistricted from a conservative R to a RINO district. I draw my line here. If Santorum is the nominee, I will vote straight ticket R.
