Savage: Founders envisioned 'petty dictator' like Obama

'It was a man like him that they feared would come to possess the presidency'

Amid a three-pronged attack on the U.S. Constitution by Democrats, talk-radio host Michael Savage reminded his listeners that America’s Founding Fathers built into the nation’s founding document checks and balances that anticipated the rise of a dictator who would try to seize power.

Barack Obama is the type of “petty dictator” the Founders envisioned, Savage told his national audience tonight.

Lets not forget his support of the violence by his cousin Odingas supporters against a democratically elected government in Kenya, a government that was forced to share power at gunpoint.

This is John Brown territory here.

A supporter of the presidential challenger Raila Odinga (OBAMAS FIRST COUSIN WHO HE CAMPAIGNED FOR) in Kibera, a sprawling slum near the capital, Nairobi.

“Do you have any idea what is going on here?” Savage asked. “Do you realize that we have a power-mad Leninist in the White House, Barack Obama?”

As well as many in Congress and SCOTUS.

Yeah the protections they put in to protect us from dictators like him are driving him nuts and according to him, are keeping him from implementing more of his socialistic crap at an even more accelerated rate and it pisses him off. He even said so the other day. Here, take a listen

Liberal contempt for the Constitution makes clear that the only problem liberals ever had with slavery in America is that the slaves were privately owned.

"Barack Obama is the type of “petty dictator” the Founders envisioned"

What about all of the Republican presidents like the Bushes that asked for more and more executive power, more and more executive orders so they could push their petty powers?

I'd say we can't have it both ways. We can't demand more and more executive power when the president happens to be Republican, and less and less when he is democrat.

But then I would be pointing up the utter hypocrisy regarding this issue that festers on FR.

"Good points. I just wish they weren’t coming from a dick like Savage"

They're points that should have been made during the Bush petty dictatorship.

But then, as you state so clearly and accurately, they were made by a dick like Savage.

I think it is vitally important to address the underlying reasons why an Obama ever got power in the first place. It's about the ideology of resentment.

Obama has an extremely flawed ideology based on false premises, and those premises drive him with passion that far outstrips anything Bill Clinton ever felt. Obama has no pragmatism in him, with the exception of the pragmatism that will allow him to say or do anything to get reelected so that he can then continue to push his ideological agenda - and punish those who he feels need to be punished, and humiliate those who he feels need to be humiliated.

He believed the erroneous information that was spoon fed to him, about the downtrodden, about racism, about white greed, about the reasons why Detroit and parts of inner city Chicago are unsafe and look the way that they do. He is filled with resentment, but the premise of that resentment is wrong. He believes it so strongly, however, that he can't be objective. I doubt that he could ever participate in a heartfelt honest discussion about the reasons that there is crime and lack of education and hurt in the inner city.

The casualty of his inability to adjust his thoughts to new data, his inability to consider the totality of fact, is that he is not open to solutions that would help the very people he thinks he is championing. In society there is plenty enough legitimate blame and responsibility for all groups and demographics.

To solve problems a society needs to do exactly the opposite of what the self-serving selfish Alinsky advocated. We do not, for a second, need to ‘isolate the target, and ridicule’. This is what tears apart societies, breeds resentment, and lead to the type of Balkanization that fuels generations of hatred and mistrust. For a guy who recently stated that Christ would support his tax plan, he should now better and should know that Christ was about ‘removing the plank from your own eye’, not ‘isolating the target, and ridiculing’.

He, Obama, is a mess of contradiction, all wrapped up in the self-delusion of righteous resentment and revenge. He needs to grow up.

Great, they envisioned it. Did they also envision a eunich congress and opposing party who does nothing at all but watch the United States destroyed, the Constitution peed on, the rule-of-law ignored and then as if that is not good enough aid and abet the bastard in the white house by passing a line item veto to help him out?

What the hell is going on?

You are right about this bunch on captiol Hill, I don’t trust any of them.

The best check we have is the 2nd. Amendment and Obama is working on that.

I think we can forget the politicians of either party being for Americans, they are in it for themselves.

Great, they envisioned it. Did they also envision a eunich congress and opposing party who does nothing at all but watch ...

They didn't just envision it, they fought a war against a petty dictator. They also envisioned a Congress that ceased to function in accordance with the lawful limits on its power, as predicted by both Franklin and Jefferson:

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
- Thomas Jefferson

“Well, Doctor, what have we got—a Republic or a Monarchy?”
“A Republic, if you can keep it.”

- Ben Franklin

I am praying that it will not be necessary to refresh the Tree of Liberty quite yet, and that Franklin's uncharacteristic pessimism will not be proven justified in our country's third and potentially last century.

Yep.

Just imagine if a Republican was related to someone who attempted to commit genocide toward Muslims?

The media would have a non-stop Blitzkrieg with that one.

While Odinga's boys didn't kill ALL of the Christians in Kenya after Odinga lost the election, they certainly murdered a considerable number of them, and they also burned and ransacked Christian homes and churches.

So true... thats WHY they enacted the Second Amendment..
To make armed revolution possible..

Only thing they could not deal with is a populace with NO BALLS..
A people so self centered that they would never revolt..
With familys that expect someone elses family to spend their blood and treasure to set things right..
You know........ cowards... that do not deserve FREEDOM..

Has America degraded to self centered COWARDS?..
With women and queers running things?..

From out of the frying pan into the fire with the 14th Amendment. Now no more competition. The gummint owns 'em all. What they couldn't kill on the battlefield they enslaved after the uncivil war.

Good point. The one difference, though, is Obama is apparently reaching into different types of criminality. He seems to be creating new precedent that if not stopped, will continue with future Presidents. It is true, though, that Republican Presidents did not honor the Constitution either. He just takes it all to different levels.
