Between Glee, Modern Family, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, Happy Endings, MTV, etc, it is going to be JC Penney that influences Children and Teens behaviour? I doubt it, they are more likely to be influenced by the behaviour of adults who attack what appears to be an otherwise positive person for a single flaw. That is the behaviour that is associated with bullying which is a major problem with our youth.

Now you are saying that because television (which parents have every right and duty to restrict) is pushing homosexuality to children, Penney's is exempt from criticism for doing the same? Isn't that "reasoning" a little circular?

Secondly, bullying goes on all the time among every group of people. I am a grown woman with a massive Celtic temper to keep a reign on, yet I have been bullied at work by another woman who must be blowing more than smoke in our boss's direction. "Bullying" is one of the sinister Trojan Horse code words that enable ass jockeys to fling guilt along with poo at decent people who do not want their children's safety to hinge on homosexuality. Plenty of straight kids get bullied, sometimes to the point of suicide, but that has never been a federally-funded campaign to endorse the teaching of sex mechanics in kindergarten like the ostensible gay bullying has been.

Further, these stats about gay kids committing suicide because of homophobia need to be examined more closely. Social maladjustment of all kinds tempts teens to commit suicide. Before the suicide, troubled youths often turn to various kinds of high-risk behaviors to try to self-medicate their depression with the adrenaline produced in their system when they push the boundaries. It is more likely that homosexuality is a symptom of coping with depression, than that suicide is a result of homophobia.
