Any group that targeted and killed Americans in 70’s is a terrorist group. No different than terrorist that kill Americans in Iraq.

The Germans (400K during WWI and WWII) and the Japanese (100K during WWII) have killed 500,000 Americans between them. What would you call them?

I’ve always believed it was a mistake, philosophically and for our leaders, to denounce “terrorism.” In fact, the use of terror has been a fundamental part of war. I’ll grant that the bombing of Hiroshima was an act of terror, but a legitimate one. One reason, I believe, why American wars have been so ineffective in recent years is because our leaders constrain the military from inflicting terror on the enemy.

Your link doesn't work.

To clarify, "Jundallah" (the one which was headed by Rigi in Iranian province of Sistan-Balouchestan, not in Pakistan) has never been a "terrorist grp".

As allmendream said, they have always been against the mullahs' regime, and conducted operations against Regime officials, such as members of IRGC. They were actually formed in 2002.

Although you're right about MeK/MKO. They do have a history of "Terrorism" (per allmendream's explanation) dating back to the Shah's era. They also have a history of actively supporting Khomeini & his rise to power, until afterwards when Khomeini refused to share power with them & indiscriminately executed a large number of them.

Unlike "Jundallah", MeK/MKO has always been an ideologically-driven group (not a tribe). Their philosophy (ideology) is a hybrid of Islam & Marxism. They act as a cult (Unlike Jundallah). However, in the last decade, they too have only targeted regime officials, are fighting the Mullahs' regime, not aiming to terrorize the populous.

"Jundallah" (in recent yrs known as "The Iranian People Resistance Movement"), has repeatedly & publicly said:

"The Resistance condemns torture, murder and execution of its members by the Islamic Republic regime. Many have been imprisoned and executed without trial. The Resistance leader, Mr. Abdolmalek Baluch [Rigi] stressed that while Iranian People Resistance Movement believes in peaceful resistance, its demands for equal rights for all Iranian natives and religious minorities have gone unanswered and the regime has resorted to the most barbaric forms of torture and executions. The Resistance, therefore, has no other recourse than to counter the regime militarily. The world should know that the terrorist Islamic Republic regime has treated the natives of Baluchistan with utmost cruelty and has denied their basic rights. Tribal people are imprisoned and tortured for no reason, other than to terrorize and oppress. The Iranian People Resistance Movement has no relationships with smugglers, Taliban or Al-Qaida and is a member of the joint tribal resistance, also consisting of [Iranian] Lor, Bakhtiari and Qashqai tribes. Our demands are rational and legal. Our basic demands are regime observation and respect for our rights and religious freedoms as declared by the UN Human Rights Charter." -- see #26 here

It is typical of the mullahs' regime to accuse everyone else of terrorism, when they are the real deal terrorists, by any definition of "Terrorism".

We don’t really know what efforts Bush may have made,
however the situation is that there is nothing he
can do about it now. It is the Obama administration
that must have it’s feet held to the fire, or his
replacement.

Jundallah was put on the list in 2010. If ya wanna say the US is wrong for putting them on the list, thats a different debate, but they are a terrorist organization as recognized by the US.

Well, the US also put MeK/MKO on its terrorist list back in Bill Clinton days (around 1997, some 20 yrs after MeK ceased any ‘terrorist’ activities aimed at the US), mainly because the Islamic Republic (Mullahs’ regime) demanded it and Clinton administration tried to appease & bargain with Mullah Khatami (”reformist” president of IRI). What did the US gain by doing so?

>>>”If ya wanna say the US is wrong for putting them on the list, thats a different debate,”<<<

What I am saying is the US already recognizes & has continuously tried to negotiate with & appease a Terrorist Regime, which is in charge of the entire country of Iran. Perhaps, after 32 yrs the US is now high time for the US gov’t to quit kissing mullahs’ butt, or throwing them a lifeline (even indirectly).

One more thing: Since the State Department is rightly very concerned about terrorism & the well-being of Iranians in Iran, maybe they could be equally fair, just & kind enough to outline all terrorist activities & dire human rights violations that the Islamic Republic Regime has carried out, since 1979 & continuing to this day, against ALL Iranians, as well as against US troops, citizens, and Israeli interests around the world, and post them on its website too - dates, numbers, locations, and all, with regular updates.

And then, they can please explain why the Islamic Republic Regime (in its entirety) is not on their “black list” of terrorist regimes. Or, are they?

“This is an Israeli plot. A dirty plot,” Larijani added angrily.

Okay, now I get it. It's okay for Iran to support, train, and supply terrorists to other countries, but it's NOT okay for Israel (or any other country) to do the same to Iran. /sarc
