The Westboro Baptist Church, which has gained infamy for protesting at the funerals of men and women killed in combat, will have a new target on Saturday: the services for two little boys slain by their father.
The church, whose "God hates fags" signs and messages have been seen across the country, intends to be at the funeral of Charlie Powell, 7, and his brother, Braden, 5. Saturday at the Life Center Church in Tacoma.
The boys died Sunday after their father , Josh Powell, blew up their Pierce County home.

J.C. Penny has "hired" Ellen Degenerate as their "celebrity" spokesperson. I don't see the WBC protesting J.C. Penny!! They appear to only come out protesting at funerals, where there is a chance someone will assault them, so they can turn around and sue.

I agree 100%. However, now that every marginally sane American, from Left-Winger to FReeper has condemned them, I think it is time to start ignoring them.
Nothing would anger and frustrate these evil, publicity whores and scum than being ignored. If they had a few of their evil protests and the media, those passing by and their victims paid no attention at all, I’d be willing to bet that they would soon stop.
The live off media and community attention. I say starve them.

I read some years ago - and it’s still true.
Fred Phelps is the most hated man in America.
I don’t care who you are; gay, straight, Christian, atheist, liberal, conservative.... whoever.
One thing we all have in common is a hatred of Phelps and the WBC.
I thought it was so the deceased couldn’t assault them. Seriously, what did those poor little children do to deserve this? Nothing!
To shut these cretins up, I think someone should picket with a picture taken of Al Gore and the Phelps at a fundraiser.
