Oliver North supports Newt, won’t ‘entertain the nightmare’ of an Obama re-election
The Daily Caller ^ | 02/10/2012 | Michelle Fields

Posted on 02/10/2012 5:39:48 AM PST by Josh Painter

Retired U.S. Marine Corps officer Oliver North told The Daily Caller that he would like to see former House Speaker Newt Gingrich as commander in chief, saying that another four years of President Barack Obama would be “a nightmare.”

North told TheDC at the Conservative Political Action Conference that “two years ago, when [Gingrich] suggested he might run, he asked for my support. I pledged I would do it,” he said. (RELATED: More interviews from CPAC)

“It’s time for us to hire a commander in chief who doesn’t feel necessary to run around the world apologizing for America,” said North.

“I’m deeply concerned that if we don’t hire a new commander in chief… we can indeed end up in very, very serious jeopardy in this country,” he added.

Oh JOY!!!!! This is good news.

I see Newt's letting Santorum ride the wave for a time....good move. There's no doubt in my mind that SAntorum and Newt are communicating and this to take out Romney and oppose the medias push for Romney.

Our guys will win in the end I think, but it's going to be war from here on in....and we'll see many twists ahead as well. I trust Newt's tactics and how he's moving throughout this Primary......wonderful to watch.

Well first of all you need to see the LDS for what it is at the top levels...it's not a religion it's a institution/corporation with a political agenda.

On a religious level....and as with many cults who use Christian verbiage etc. to recruit members, and then utilize a “steps” program of qualifying for membership....followed by be;ieve and devotion only to their organization...so too is the LDS programs of “initiation”. Thus they lay claim to being the “only” true religion....which is on mark to all cultism practices and why the Christian community has never accepted LDS as a Christian organization or church.

Even their leadership has proclaimed the Christ they serve is not the same Christ of Christianity. And the LDS went into major damage control once that cat was out of the bag.

LDS is a counterfeit religion....make no mistake about that. But the problem with Romney is that he is basically one of their “high Priests”.....would you vote for a catholic bishop or priest for President? Of course not.

It does matter what our President's beliefs are....I would prefer an atheist as President rather than a cults leader.

Further Romney is not who people would be voting for....it will be the leadership of the LDS and they will determine how this country will go...Romney will simply comply.

I'm with Ollie. Newt is the only candidate in the race who has actually demonstrated his conservatism in the real world. The others talk the talk. Newt has walked the walk, and will do so again, if we get him into the White House.

Oliver North, Michael Reagan, Rick Perry, Herman Cain, Fred Thompson, J. C. Watts, Art Laffer, Bud McFarlane, Chuck Norris, Todd Palin, Joe Barton, Zell Miller, Bill McCollum, Carl Paladino, Tim LaHaye, Thomas Sowell, Maj. Gen. James E. Livingston, and many others have endorsed Newt.

I love LtC Oliver North! Newt is amassing an A-list of conservative endorsements. I didn't know, and just learned on this thread, that Zell Miller has been the co-chairman of Newt's national presidential campaign since May. Like many conservatives, I love Zell Miller as well.

One might wish that there had been a more visible campaign to let potential supporters know who all has endorsed Newt. It sure might help.

We've got a deal that's going to pay us handsomely sometime in the next month. I'm going to send Newt something just as soon as we get paid.

Like you said, we've got to put our money where our mouth is.

Santorum who hasn’t been subjected to Romney’s slime machine.

It won't happen in full force until it is obvious to the slime machine Newt is out of the race. Then Santorum has served his purpose.

I would feel best if neither Obama or Romney were occupying the White House after January 2013. I could only make a decision between them under the greatest duress. Perhaps that will be the case on election day; but I certainly hope not!

What I have been trying to express is that, regardless of your or my views about the Mormon Church, we are both determined to stop Romney at all costs. As I see it, “getting down in the weeds” about Mormons is a strategy that misses the central issues; therefore, it is better to concentrate our arguments on the Constitutional issues and Romney's weak, liberal record than his religion.

Take care,

-Geoff

I give to Newt in increments....not in one shot...and then I need to consider FR with this as well. I'll be soon giving to the Freepathon again for this run.

BTW Just listened to Romney speak at CPAC....I laughed til I cried when Romney said..." The American people are learn-oops! yearning for a President who will tell them the truth". No wonder he stumbled in saying that, he's such a liar!...

I think we can do both...you better believe that if Romney gets this Obamas machine will indeed make issue of his religion and make this a religious war along with all the other issues. That’s why Pelosi and Obama have recently been spewing religious “talk”....they are laying the groundwork so they look “Christian”.

Thanks for your comments.

"Oliver North is nothing short of an American Hero and deserves to have his opinions respected!"

You'd have to say the same thing, and then some, about Jerry Boykin.

You're most welcome CW.

I expect Obama and Pelosi will use their sudden, new-found “religious fervor” to sling as much mud as possilbe at Romney should he win the nomination. Let's hope we can head him off early and save them the trouble!

Agreed. I have this weird feeling our elections are getting more rigged every year. But if Romney vs Obama I’d do anything to keep Obama out of the WH, but like you said it’s extreme duress and I can’t get much more “duressed” than I am right now. Take care.

I don’t have a problem with that either.

I disagree with him on that but he is STILL an American hero who deserves to have his opinions respected.
