Palin Calls On Romney To Work Harder For The Conservative Vote Peter Hamby
Washington (CNN) - Sarah Palin issued a warning to Mitt Romney Saturday, calling on the former Massachusetts governor to do a better job explaining his record to conservatives or risk dampening voter turnout in November if he wins the Republican presidential nomination.
In an interview with CNN and The New York Times before her speech to the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, Palin said she was confused by Romneys declaration here on Friday that he was a severely conservative Republican.
I wasnt quite sure what the word 'severely' meant, Palin said.
She said Romney and his two main rivals - Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich - should be given time to explain the flaws in their record until the Republican National Convention in August, when she said the nomination fight could ultimately be decided.
But Romney may have the hardest sale to make, she said, asking him to explain his shifts in ideology since he left the Massachusetts governorship.

Sarah nailed it, and Romney, here. Romney has consistently whitewashed his left leaning-to-liberal record as governor (and before) instead of offering up a credible case as to why any of us should believe he’s not a liberal now. (I have my doubts he could ever make one, but Palin is still right on the money.)
Did you hear Santorum's joke?
A guy walks into a room with a liberal Republican, moderate Republican and conservative Republican. What did he say?
I dont think that it would be a negative for the party, a brokered convention, she said. And people who start screaming that a brokered convention is the worst thing for the GOP, they have an agenda. They have their own personal or political reasons for their own candidate, who they would like to see protected away from a brokered convention. Thats part of the competition, thats part of the process. And it may happen.
Am I the only one who thinks she has something up her sleeve?
In the article she also says the doesn't want any of them to drop out. Clearly she doesn't want to see a front runner emerge and be anointed before the convention.
Sarah my dear ... he’ll just lie to get it. It doesn’t mean he has changed one iota.
Sarah Palin cannot be more emphatic. She knows that Romney is NOT a conservative, nevermind a true one, or a “severely conservative governor,” as he claimed in his CPAC speech.
Romney is on notice!
P.S. Screw you, Faux.....LOL.
Interview granted to CNN!
AND the NTY.....LOL.
And the NYT....LOL.
Hey, Romney! Chess game?
Sarah says, “Queen takes Bishop!”
Queen goes as far as she wants in every direction.
The Bishop can only have an angle.
What makes you think mittens cares the slightest bit what the people think of him? It would be interesting to know when his last visit to fly-over country was, before the campaign I mean.
I was under the impression that Palin's FOX contract prohibited her from going on other networks.
Sarah Palin issued a warning to Mitt Romney if he wins the Republican presidential nomination, he will dampen voter turnout in November.
THEIR FIXED IT...
She knows he can’t explain the shifts. Sarah is really really smart at this and I love how she keeps their feet to the fire.
