Obama chief of staff: No more compromise, contraceptive rule is done deal (FUBO!)
Fox News ^ | 2/12/2012 | fox news

Despite renewed statements of concern by Catholic leaders, the Obama administration is done negotiating and will finalize its plan requiring insurance companies to provide free contraception to women working and studying at religious institutions, President Obama's chief of staff said Sunday.

Jacob Lew told "Fox News Sunday" that the compromise offered last week to address objections by the Catholic Church is clear and consistent with the president's "very deep belief that a woman has a right to all forms of preventive health care, including contraception."

"We have set out our policy," Lew said. "We are going to finalize it in the final rules, but I think what the president announced on Friday is a balanced approach that meets the concerns raised both in terms of access to health care and in terms of protecting religious liberties, and we think that's the right approach."

On Friday, Obama revised his decision to require all employers to provide contraceptive care after Catholic organizations balked that it is an intrusion on the Church's religious liberty to require it to provide birth control. The president changed the mandate to shift the burden to insurance companies to provide free access to birth control and other forms of contraception.

First, there was NO "Compromise", it was forced down religious organizations' throats.

Second, NOTHING IS FREE. Religious organizations will pay for this whether directly of indirectly.

I'm glad he's “cemented” his position.

There should now be do doubt what a narcissistic ass he truly is.

I won't surprised if the Supreme Court strikes down Obamacare, they don't come out the next day and say, “No, sorry we don't agree with that ruling. The implementation of Obamacare will proceed on schedule. Next Question?”

I’d almost forgotten that we even have a Congress. Sadly, the members thereof seem to have forgotten it too.

I trust that the bishops, and all the other real Christian leaders in our country, simply will not accept this royal command, and will continue to speak out against it.

I was late to church today, because I had to plug my car in and warm it up to get it started, but when I came in our Pastor was speaking about contraception and the right of Catholics to their faith and beliefs. He also said something about a pro-contraceptive editorial attacking the Church in our local paper. I don’t know if he mentioned Our Muslim Leader or Obamacare before I came in, but I imagine he was following instructions from our Bishop.

In any case, it seems we are hearing something about this, even in the Socialist Republic of Vermont.

This issue should be used to defeat Obama, even if the Establishment Republicans are willing to go along with it. We should make it clear that this is a Fascist imposition on our the First Amendment and our Constitutional Freedoms, without precedent. (There are precedents, of course, but this goes way beyond them.) I think Palin, Santorum, and Gingrich will all push this, and I hope that the Tea Party will use it to get more conservatives into congress and shovel that useless jerk Boner out.

The king has spoken.

And that's all this is. Chris Wallace asked Lew this morning what gave obama/administration the right to mandate this...Lew's answer was the healthcare law that was passed. Wallace neglected to go one step further and question what else can obama "mandate" with this law?

This is only the tip of the iceberg. As Paul Ryan posed on one of the Sunday morning talk shows (paraphrasing), if obama is willing to make this kind of a mandate in a tough election year, what will he mandate if he gets reelected?

The King will be far too busy traveling, to attend to this matter, Czar Lew will answer any questions, and give you your opinion.

He's just warming up in this first round. He's pushed the envelope and found out there is no envelope. He'll have free reign.

Barry has not yet learned not to screw with the Catholic church. But he will soon. What an idiot. There goes the catholic vote.

This is so much bigger than “Who pays for the birth control pills”. This is congress wholesale handing over its legislative duties to the executive. On an unprecedented level.

77.7 million Catholics in America.
Not all are devout, but nearly all will defend their church against this monster.
Barky has just lost the election.

So, now we’ll see if those who are concerned about the Constitution have as much enthusiasm for keeping their Constitutional Rights as those who riot and have mass demonstrations for their pet benefit or violation of the Constitution.

Good. This will even turn liberal Catholics off him, if they are observant Catholics.

Unless Obama has no intention of allowing a November election, he’s screwed.

I fear you may be right.

That’s why they designed it to grow its roots deep before it sprouts into its full-blown disaster.

We don’t even know the lengths to which they’ve already gone. They’re still writing and changing the rules everyday.

Even if struck down today, 15 years from now there will still be policies of Obamacare just coming to the surface.

My understanding is that most Catholic hospitals and healthcare organizations are self insured.

Probably several hundred thousand employees.

Bomama is still faced with a 1st Amendment issue if they don't fold on the issue.

If they fold, you know they have placed commerce above life, the church and God.

Just wait, you don’t know the half of what is going on. You should see what is happening in WA State.

The Democrat legislature is trying to pass a series of bill that will essentially destroy the elective process.

We have all mail-in voting in WA state. Now, they want to add same day registration. so, if you aren’t a registered voter, you can vote on voting day, but others must mail in their ballots, before noon on voting day. While they don’t open the inner ballot ahead of voting day, they do open the outer envelope, from which they can tell what precinct the voter lived in. So, by extrapolation, they can get a rough estimate of voter turn out from each party. They turn these figures over to the parties in several increments during the voting period.

The other bill is what I call, the Heads we win, Tails You Lose bill. In addition to all mail voting, we also have district wide voting, meaning that the cities get to vote on who represents the suburban ad rural districts, as well. So, if that isn’t bad enough, the Democrats have proposed a bill that would allow any minority to challenge the election results by claiming that their vote was diluted by the district wide voting process and that they were essentially disenfranchised. Of course, these minorities all vote Democrat, so this would only come into play if a Republican won. So, It’s heads, Democrats win, Tails, Republicans Lose.

Then there is the move to have extra-legislative bodies pass land use regulations and manage funds collected from mitigation fees, permits and fines, to train a corps of brown shirt neighbors to spy on other neighbors and report their land use activities to these appointed extra-legislative boards.
