4 months to the California Primary, but fresh after caucus wins in Colorado and Minnesota and in Missouri's non-binding primary, Rick Santorum draws to within a whisker of nominal frontrunner Mitt Romney, 33% for Romney, 31% for Santorum, effectively even, according to a SurveyUSA poll conducted for KABC-TV Los Angeles, KPIX-TV San Francisco, KGTV-TV San Diego and KFSN-TV Fresno.

Santorum leads Romney among seniors, among evangelicals, among pro-life voters, among Tea Party members, among those who say they are "very conservative," and in the Central Valley region of California.

Now I am the one who is embarrassed.

For some reason I thought you were an ethnic Korean, and have been thinking that for a long time on Free Republic, though I was aware of the religious difference.

My sincere apologies. (INSERT DEEP BOW HERE.)

Now back on track, if there are any Korean lurkers in California who support Santorum and are reading what I said, listen to what I said even though I made a mistake in who I said it to. It takes Koreans to effectively reach Koreans, and when Koreans vote, they often do so en masse.

I've seen just one or two Koreans work to turn out literally hundreds of votes for their candidate, and working in organized groups can result in thousands of votes. It reminds me of reading the stories of the ethnic neighborhoods and the political machines of the 1800s, except that Korean voting blocs rely on a strange mixture of very old-fashioned techniques for the older voters with the latest Twitter feeds, email blasts, and text messages for the high-tech second generation.

It works. I've seen it done, and in a state like California, the Korean churches and the Korean business community are perfect examples of people who should vote Republican but too often do not.

I hope somebody is listening and gets some good ideas to put to use.

There is an outside chance Saint Rick could win the nomination from delegates from states that he cannot win in the fall, states already pre-committed to Obama. We shall see, but somehow I don’t see the establishment losing.
