Sean Penn has accused Britain of colonialism and urged the government to open negotiations with Argentina over the Falkland Islands.

At a meeting with Argentine president Cristina Kirchner, the Left-wing Hollywood actor referred to the islands "the Malvinas Islands of Argentina" and said Britain should entered into a UN-sponsored dialogue over their sovereignty.

"The world today is not going to tolerate any ludicrous and archaic commitment to colonialist ideology," he said during the meeting in Buenos Aires.

I’ll bet he also uses the term “running dogs” at his fashionista Hollywood dinner parties....

Earth to Sean: The Falklands were uninhabited when the Europeans arrived. Nobody was colonized. The French were first and Malvinas is a translation of the French name for the islands. The Spanish came for a short time, but also left.

Penn is actually parroting Barrak Hussein, who also thinks the UK should “negotiate” with Argentina over the islands. Hussein’s view of course is a sharp departure from prior US administrations.

I do not care what Penn does or says. As far as I am concerned, he is just another Hollywood queer.

In the UK Mail article, Penn is looking like an young Hitler.

He’s actingly like Jesse Jackson, and smelling like Jesse Ventura.

A new form of life?

being an idiot who thinks he’s smart. That’s dangerous.

I've always subscribed to that.....on the flipside, I went to school with a kid who was 'below average', but would readily admit that he knew it.

He slogged his way through his early years, got a pest control license and ended up owning the largest bug zap company in Phoenix - sold it for huge bucks and is now a very happy and content (and well off) dog groomer.

I urge Sean Penn to open his buttocks wide enough to allow his head to exit his lower intestines. I have just as much right to give him this advice as he has in advising Britain.

Dear Mr. Penn, you ignorant dick:

From Wikipedia...

The Falkland Islands were uninhabited when discovered by Europeans, but recent discoveries of arrowheads in Lafonia (on the southern half of East Falkland) as well as the remains of a wooden canoe provide strong evidence that they had been visited previously, most likely by the Yaghan people of Tierra del Fuego. It is not known if these are evidence of one-way journeys, but there is no known evidence of pre-Columbian buildings or structures

Subsequently, in 1592, the islands were discovered by English explorer John Davis and claimed for the Queen. The islands were then uninhabited!

Following discovery, the Falklands were first settled in 1766...by British colonists! At the time, there were no other inhabitants!

In other words, the Falklands were British before there was an Argentina! Spain created the Viceroyalty of Rio de la Plata in 1776. It was not until 1816 that Argentina secured her independence from Spain.

I'm well aware, Mr. Penn, that you are ignorant of history (along with most everything else). But can you not understand that the Falklands have been British ever since they were discovered. And that they were discovered by Europeans, not by "Argentinians", you moron.

In case you were wondering, Tierra del Fuego is in Chile -- not Argentina. And I've yet to hear Chile put in a claim for the Falklands, based on the wanderings of pre-historic Tierra del Fuegans. But they've a better claim than the Argentinians, idiot.

A dinner party at Sean Penn’s defies imagination. I’d be ready to blow my brains out before the entree.

He should head to Egypt and calm things down there, broker peace among the various factions. I’m sure he would be really effective.

Good for you, Sean! In fact, I think you should take things a step further by giving up your Hollywood career, moving to Argentina, and joining the Argentine army so you can be on the front lines when Argentina decides to go to war over the Falklands.

So when will Sean figure out that most of South and Central America was once a Spanish colony? ...including Argentina.
