SAN JOSE -- Police are looking for several men who stomped to death a 4-pound mini-Yorkshire terrier that was trying to protect its owner from an attack in San Jose over the weekend, authorities said.

The dog's owner said he was walking the 6-year-old dog, Shadow, at Winchester Boulevard and Colonial Way about 2 p.m. Saturday when three men approached and asked if he was a gang member.

The owner, a 32-year-old floor installer who asked that his name be withheld for safety reasons, said he had denied gang involvement, but the men attacked him anyway.

Three jumping one and then killing his dog. The cowardice of gang bangers never ceases to amaze me.

They were all hard working young men who were turning their lives around, no doubt.

Idiots. Mini-Yorkies aren’t gang dogs, they should have figured that out from the start. If the guy was walking a pit or a rottie, then he might be a gang member. But a Yorkie?

That used to be a nice middle class area in West San Jose several decades ago. Looking at the names of the local businesses it is apparently now home for the “guests in our country.”

I think the lesson to be learned here is if a group of young men ask you what gang you belong to you had better bring out your concealed carry and begin firing.

I was down there this weekend and saw people on the BART who I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t see in Oregon.

The rich liberals hide in their enclaves, vote rat to assuage their guilt - and hope the government keeps the hoards at bay instead of coming after them, and meanwhile the ordinary citizen is left to deal with the misery caused by the bleeding hearts.

I live in a nice neighborhood outside of Houston. I always walk my dog armed.

God made terriers’ hearts too big. Many years ago our Cairn terrier was almost killed running a German Shepherd off our property.

There is probably a gang war in progress.

It likely started with the death of Ramon Ruano, who was gunned down in a parking lot. This was followed by another homicide of a man being stabbed to death, dropped off at an ER by persons unknown.

I truly doubt that gang members were holding a car wash to raise money for Ruano’s family. I’m guessing that they were friends of his, and they thought he was murdered by the gang whose colors the man with the dog was wearing.

Importantly, the dog owner is either highly stupid, or a gang member himself, for wearing gang colors in a gang neighborhood: “wearing a red sweater and a red Boston Red Sox hat”, which is gang wear of the Bloods gang.

“Rivals with Crips and Black Gangster Disciples. Red Bandanas and shirts and Boston Red Sox hats (for the letter B) Five-point stars, pitchforks pointing down. May cross out the letter “C” in writing Graffiti includes “CK” for “Crip Killer.”

Smart, never know when some of those New Orleans folks whom never went home after he Storm might want to rumble.

There actually is a mini-yorkie, generally referred to as “teacup” to distinguish them from the larger “toy”. They may not be AKC recognized, but they do exist.
