2/13/12: Gallup now shows unemployment rate back up to 9% and underemployment at 19.2%
Gallup Daily: U.S. Unemployment ^ | Monday, February 13, 2012 | Gallup

Here's something the left-wing Obama-worshiping media doesn't want anyone to know about... Gallup daily polling had the national unemployment rate at 8.2% just one month ago back on January 13 and has since soared back up as high as 9.1% for the survey period ending Sunday, February 12. It's now at 9.0% on the most recent survey (Monday, February 13). Even though Gallup doesn't account for "seasonal adjustments" like the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics does, history has shown that the monthly U.S. jobs report generally tends to move in the same direction as the Gallup survey. So is this a sign of more ominous unemployment numbers in the months ahead?

***************************************************************************************************************************

As posted on its website: "Gallup tracks daily the percentage of U.S. adults in the workforce, ages 18 and older, who are underemployed, unemployed, and employed full-time for an employer, without seasonal adjustment. "Underemployed" respondents are employed part time, but want to work full time, or they are unemployed. "Unemployed" respondents are those within the underemployed group who are not employed, even for one hour a week, but are available and looking for work. Respondents "Employed Full Time for an Employer" are those who are employed by an employer for at least 30 hours per week. Daily results reflect 30-day rolling averages based on telephone interviews with approximately 30,000 adults. Because results are not seasonally adjusted, they are not directly comparable to numbers reported by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, which are based on workers 16 and older. Margin of error is ± 1 percentage point."

“Where are the HEADLINES???”

**************************************************

I just checked some of the Mainstream media online outlets and the only thing there are the SOUNDS OF SILENCE.

Of course, when the BLS comes out with their seasonally adjusted figure, there will likely be another million or so workers having “left the labor force” in the preceding month keeping the “official” unemployment rate down.

Time to lop another couple million off the labor force.

One wonders if the Stupid Party will even have an ad talking to voters about this outrage? And rising gas pump prices? And more failed green baloney companies? And a phony budget with more taxes, regs, and spending ??? We await that too.

All businesses should lay off 3/4 of their workers just before start of 4th quarter and hire them back when Obama is gone.
