“I never said nor implied that Newt lacks credibility. I said the GOP will not nominate him. “

OK, so you think that Newt does have the credibility to be president, but that the GOP will not nominate him because he hasn’t done anything since his historic leadership as Speaker.

However, since Gingrich left office he has devoted himself to mastering issues that will help him lead as president. Its a complex job and we need someone prepared.

No one better understands how to change Washington and make bold changes better than Newt.

Not sure what you mean by Newt’s House problems. You say that you have similar complaints about Paul and Bachmann, but prefer Paul and Bachmann over Newt.

Then you say it isn’t a value judgement. If it is not a value judgement to ranks your preferred candidates, what is it I wonder?

Sounds to me like no argument would persuade you to support Newt?

“Why do Gingrich supporters feel the need to marginalize Santorum by changing his name?”

So you think that it is disrespectful to call Santorum by funny names and that when he loses, he will be less likely support Newt because he was called names on this site.

I follow these treats pretty well and can only think of one other poster who called Santorum by a funny name, but obviously could have missed it.

Freepers often use irony and put down humor to make a point. This is supposed to be fun.

Calling Santorum “Sanitarium” I thought was kind of funny, suggesting that supporting a candidate who lost by 20 points the last time he ran in his OWN state is simply crazy.

Add to the fact that the man has accomplished almost nothing in his career, excepting some admirably pro-life legislation, and the fact that he has NO management experience of any organization larger than his Senate staff makes him a very weak candidate.

In other words, for us to support him is the equivalent of a trip to the loony bin.

That said, he is vastly better than Romney.

I prefer Newt. You and I differ. You are free to call Newt names on this site if it helps make your point. I will not be offended and I doubt Newt reads this stuff, but maybe he does...

Hi Newt!
