Complete title: Obama follows his own advice to 'go big' this Valentine's Day by treating wife Michelle to lavish dinner at top restaurant

After warning men across the country 'go big' this Valentine's day, it appears President Obama took his own advice.

He treated the First Lady to dinner at pricey restaurant Vermilion where plates of caviar, beef and chocolate truffle tarts were on offer.

[Snip]

It is believed they enjoyed the restaurant's lavish Valentine's menu, which included lobster tortelloni, beef with truffle jus and passion fruit cheesecake.

The four-course menu costs $75 for one person - minus the obligatory Valentine's day wine.

The expensive treat came after Obama made an announcement on Tuesday morning reminding men to spoil their partners.

'Let me start with a quick public service announcement for all the gentlemen out there,' he said. 'Today is Valentine's Day.'

It looks like booths in a cheap truck-stop that were upholstered with ‘elvis’ red velvet.

If the only option I had was to spend a romantic evening with michelle obama......

Me, I opt for death before dinner and dishonor.

If Bush or Reagan did the same thing, the media would have their panties in a notch and would be constantly scolding them !

This poor excuse for a man is incapable of shutting up for even one day. Let me be clear: STFUBO!

pricey restaurant Vermilion

I take it this means that all of the little people who had planned on a Valentine's Day dinner at Vermilion were SOL.

I'm sure that Occupy Wall Street was outside the restaurant protesting this conspicuous display of wealth by the 1%! Right? Right?....crickets....
