Why do black people segregate themselves from the rest of society? Why are they predominantly so racist? It seems to me the black people alive today should be thankful that slaves were brought over to this country, otherwise they would be trying to outrun cheetah’s and suffering from drought in the plains of Africa.

Anytime a black ‘makes it’ you get this type of comment, IMO, usually from blacks themselves. They called Clarence Thomas an Uncle Tom, Condi Rice something else, I can’t remember.

Because when black people make it on their own merits, it takes away all excuses. Easier to blame everyone else for your personal failures.

I agree with you. I like Larry Eldar, but he’s making a mountain out of a molehill on this one, in an attempt to explain how Black Conservatives feel.

The stupidity and racism shown by self described ‘real’ blacks is unreal. Did whites call Elvis Presley a race traitor? Hell, no. Did whites put down Presley for ‘acting black.’? Hell, no.
I know a lot of blacks resented him for singing ‘their’ music, but whites didn’t.

“I know a lot of blacks resented him for singing ‘their’ music, but whites didn’t.”

What they didn’t realize is that the white artists brought the black RnB into the crossover white market. Same with Pat Boone covering Little Richard records. Yuck.

I understand where Elder is coming from, and I've never liked Whitney Houston.

Beautiful voice, but generic music. Put me to sleep.

Where there's a shell, there's a way.

25 years ago, we had Ronald Reagan, Johnny Cash, and Bob Hope.
Today we have Obama, no cash, and no hope!

If you can't appreciate the pure beauty of the violin after hearing this, something's wrong with your ears.

Or you can get raw with these strings.

How about this gamechanger from America's Got Talent (which they SHOULD have won).

And finally, this, dedicated to the one and only rdb2, whose eyes are growing dim.

Either way, the violin is sweet yet LETHAL.

Do it!

Obama is high yellow or mullato.

In the pronunciation of folks in the Southland I always heard it as "high yeller."

It’s the truth. I had a very nasty AA co-worker who informed ME that Herman Cain was a “turncoat.” She herself was a TOTAL loser who at 50+ years old, STILL was working in low-wage menial job at the hospital. She kept trying to get to school, to get a higher degree — but for some reason, she couldn’t cut it. I just always felt she tended to yack, chuck and jive a lot and never had the drive to just get down to business and apply herself to anything serious. Too busy joking.

Nothing really white or black about THAT — plenty of whites are like that — have a few of them in my own family ..but blacks can conveniently use the race card which provides them cover.
