Sarah Steelman hits the air first in using the HHS mandate on religious organizations as a billy club in the upcoming elections. Steelman will run for the chance to replace Claire McCaskill in a tough Republican primary, one in which she will almost certainly get outspent by John Brunner. With only $84,000 cash on hand at the moment, Steelman rolls the dice by hammering McCaskill over her support for the mandate, and vows to fight for First Amendment rights if she beats McCaskill in the fall:

“Steelman will run for the chance to replace Claire McCaskill in a tough Republican primary,”

So, McCaskill is running in the Republican primary?

Odd. . .I didn’t get the memo McCaskill changed parties.

Latest poll I have (Feb.1) shows Steelman-32%, Akin 23%, Brunner 18%. Public Policy Polling. "Air-Claire" has approx. $5 million in her campaign coffer.

Sarah Steelman is a knife fighter. Unfortunately, when she ran for Gov. in '08 she disemboweled her Republican opponent in Primary. He in turn, curb-stomped her. As a result, Jay Nixon (D) became Gov. of Missouri. I watched her debate Rep. Akin this time around. Both seemed much more "friendly." Going after Obi rather than each other.

Don't know much about Brunner. A StL. bu$ne$$ man. He's pumped more than a million into his campaign but has refused to participate in debates, too date.

Both Akin/ Steelman strong supporters of 2nd Amendment. Steelman also has spoken out strongly in favor of Right to Work legislation. Unions already going after her. I call that a good thing...
